O_O I was wondering why this thread was still here...><
Even though I wouldn't mind having the size bigger, I actually am satisfied with what we have. Like I mentioned before I would rather have a height increased if they can when anvil system comes out. If they still can not do the height upgrade, no biggy, I get what I get, right? *shrugs* I just learn to adapt what ever they decide to put in the game into my own designs, if not start another map to explore the new features.
To me it doesn't matter if they are able to or not. It is a matter of what they add that matters, as is always the case. On this matter though it has well been blown out of proportion many times in the past, even after the fact that 4J has mentioned it could not be done due to memory. Doesn't stop me from playing, and to me it is not game breaking. I may be a pack rat, but what is the fun in having things rare handed to you. I prefer to work on my stash and inventory, with the exception of the basic materials that you would find in the bonus chest now. Quite a help for someone like me to get a head start.
I just learn to accept what comes and goes in the game that is not a bug, glitch, or an immediate problem. Always looking forward to see what is next...:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
What the END will look like on the XBox is a complete unknown at this point. Creating panic by speculating something is called "fear mongering" in some circles.
I am just saying that the End is a large, floating archipelago. It will be very interesting to see how 4J Studios will deal with this.
Ok, I've been thinking about this for few days now, and did a search and found nothing like this anywhere on this forum, but I could be wrong, I also figure this would be the best place to post this idea of mine.
Now most of us have accepted the fact that world size will NOT be getting any bigger on this current console and probably not height wise either. So what if we could at least get the terrain we want in a map?
Yes we can just keep generating map after map untill we get a seed that looks good enough, or just keep searching like I seem to do for that perfect map until the cows come home.(God I spend hours looking through maps lol)
Anyhow, and I'm no programmer mind you so I'm throwing this out there.................................. (I can feel the anticipation....)
An app whether it be part of minecraft xbox itself or even a phone app, that could generate a 2D map which probably could be the same size as PC's from a seed, and then you are given a preset sized square cursor the dimensions of Xbox 360 maps, say 1024 blocks by 1024 blocks,( I'm not sure of our world sizes I think it may be a little less)
...and you can maneuver this cursor anywhere on this huge 2D map and in the mean time showing in a little box the seed number required to be input to the xbox version to get the desired area.
This way you can move the cursor to what looks like an awesome location for your next adventure or build and at least window shop for it, whether you want a bit of every biome or just 1 or 2. read off the number , type into the Xbox MC seed geneater and you get that specified area.
(btw this map would look just like the one we get in MC only a lot bigger)
Well at least it would be something I would Like. I too would prefer larger world, at least double what we have, but we cant so...........

I suspected we actually agreed as well. Consider my points just fortifying your position then. Sorry for any misunderstanding.
Think we all did. Lol
