When were you ever able to "do whatever you want"? The game ain't that big or has that many options.
Except for the fact that this game provides more options than any console game in history. Minecraft is the epitome of sandbox games, how could anyone possibly state that it isn't that big or that the possibilities are anywhere close to limited? The only voxel-based sandbox game I've ever seen grant more freedom than Minecraft would be Dwarf Fortress, and there is no way it will ever come to a console.
I get where you're coming from, completely. We're stuck with the XBOX360's RAM.
Honestly, I like fireworks I'd just like to see that RAM go to better use.
Troll? There is logic, if people didn't hop on the troll wagon, they'd see it.
RAM issues. It's a pretty defining logic when it comes to MCXBLA. Some people would rather see the console do other things than the PC also.
Want the RAM to be of use elsewhere? Solution: don't use the fireworks. The fireworks honestly aren't that impressive, I couldn't see them being much more of a memory hog than TNT. By that point we would be using the ANVIL format anyway, which will hopefully free up a significant amount of RAM. They could also limit it, just like TNT, except say 10 fireworks allowed to activate within a short period of time.
tis nothing like TNT, cant even compare the 2, Fireworks have streamers that go up and explode into thousands of particles, and thats just 1, bet even some top end pcs have frame rate drop
dont get me wrong id love to see fireworks, just not coming out of my xbox lol
Nothing like tnt...*shakes head* I have to disagree. After all they both explode. The main difference is where the particles are when they do and how much they let off. Of course fireworks are harmless in minecraft, where as tnt is damaging. In all actually there is no less in frame drop when you compare the two, at least on pc. I don't think it would have much of a frame drop as once it is done it is done. However tnt leaves behind giblets of terrain, unless shot up in the sky via cannon.
Either way it just would be nice.:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I could care less if they are vital to any sort of gameplay. What happened to stuff just being fun?
Fireworks = Fun
I for one would love them to be in the game. Who cares if it has any direct impact on any sort of mechanic or gameplay. I think this would be an awesome thing to do once in a while in my worlds. Especially come 4th of July (American) or other random celebrations in my worlds.
Not to mention that since they're a new feature on the PC, they'll eventually get worked on and more fleshed out as time goes on. Maybe 4J could even do some of their own stuff with them like adding more shapes or bigger explosions to them.
meh.
Just something else to junk up MC that has nothing to do with gameplay.
No idea how I missed this in my first post. When are people going to figure out that this argument doesn't work in Minecraft? While we're at it, want to tell me how an ice house is practical to gameplay? A castle? Mansion? Giant creeper statue? Pixel art? Redstone games/computers? Piston doors? Those are all wastes of resources! Everyone who plays this game is doing it wrong!
Maybe the fire works could do some damage if they didn't go in the air, take into consideration that's where the Idea of explosives come from. In fact at a certain point in, I think china's history they used them as weapons similar to cannons.

More than just cannons.... After all the use was varied as what you could do with the mixture. I believe they were the first to use them though in that way.

*facepalm* It's highly likely that most of the features (if not all up to the time I'm writing this) WILL be put into the XBLA Version
That's not true... at all... so, "*facepalm*" what?
Xbox, as of the last update, is having issues running Minecraft as perfect as it use to. Many people have complained of "server lag", when the host lags too, and there's lag to people in offline mode. It's been discussed in a couple topics, I wont take the time to find them, that the new update is pushing boundaries. Xbox has limits, while PC's really do not (Minecraft-wise). Therefor, all the features MAY NOT be put into XBLA Version. Also, 4J themselves mentioned they want to go other ways in some features.

The X-Box has limits, which is why I said 'up to the time I'm writing this'. I was trying to say as far as they will probably go is until PC version 1.4. I'm fully aware of 4J wanting to go different ways or to add exclusive content. But why should that mean that PC Content should get pushed away. Besides, If they don't put PC Content into the game, the fans are likely to uproar.
Lag has been an issue to almost everyone who plays Minecraft PC anyway, It should be no suprise that something with less power (I say this in a rough sense) should lag too.
Also I said 'highly likely' in my OP with means that there may still be a chance that it won't
