O.K. Here is the deal. I am about to go visit my best friend, who just got out of a state sponsored "time-out". I want to show him my Minecraft worlds, and try to get him to play Minecraft. He has an Xbox, but does not have xbox live or a desire to play online. So my question is, since I have my saves in cloud storage, can I just sign in on his and download Minecraft, then I should be able to play it on his console with my saves. Then when I go to come home I just sign out, and it should disable my purchased copy of minecraft right? I dont exactly know if I need to delete it from his console before I leave or just sign out.
Edit::
Or, would it be safer to just unhook my console and take it with me?
You have to transfer the license of the game to his console..... you have to log in under your name and use your cloud/usb stick for your saves/worlds.
Simplest is take your console if you can.. I don't know how often and in what time frame you can transfer your downloaded game licenses between consoles. I'm sure a bit of googling can help you find that out... The main issue is the license transfer between consoles. If he already had purchased minecraft then loading your saves would be no problem.

You don't have to transfer the license to his console, if the game was bought by your live account. When you buy a game from xbox, it is licensed to both the user account and the console. So anyone can play it on that console, and that user can play the game anywhere.
Still if you're worried about account hacking etc.. by your friend. You're probably better off just taking your console over.
My main worry was getting banned or something by Xbox, I have heard horror stories. I can just take my console. I am not a huge fan of moving my consoles around. I am not worried he would do anything with my account. He is not very computer literate. Thanks guys and girls. Helpful as always!
I just did this on my friend's xbox.
copy yer profile to a USB drive
turn on his xbox
plug in your USB drive
login as you (you'll have to enter your password)
download MC
start MC
choose cloud storage
load up your game save
show him around
exit the game when done
turn off the xbox
remove your memory stick and go home.
Games your account bought can be played by YOU on ANY xbox.
Keeeping your profile on the USB stick eliminates the problem of forgetting your profile on his box so he can use your profile behind your back.
You can trust your friend all you want, but don't take chances or leave temptation or opportunity for their to be a problem. Especially for one who did some time.
