actually thats what I wanted it would be nice to see what stuff trolls and other people would have to say. Maybe an arguement between trolls or something, but I'm pretty sure this will get locked for the r word that i will not spell because its bad luck.
Rumours are bad and spread false hope. . . . hate to say this, but this is the worst idea I've heard yet.
Well done for getting the guts to post it though.
I've heard a rumour that rumours spread false hope and should be banned from discussion; but I think that really people should learn not to get their own hopes up so easily and learn to seek out information to either prove up or disprove a rumour for themselves. Having some rumours floating around gives people an opportunity to practice their research skills.
It also gives people something to do when they are bored.
True. Seriously, though, the mods on this site take a lot of stock in the idea that this site endeavours to avoid spreading false information. I do predict a quick lock in this thread's future.

Took me a while to work that out. Lol
I'm not saying that all rumours are bad, and it does give people the opportunity to reaserch etc. But, as you said, on sites like this, it isn't advisable. I don't think the mods would give out infractions for saying the 'R' word, OP. . . it's more if you start them I think.
Would you really want to hear rumours though? Seriously?
What do you mean "quick lock" (Still new to forum talk)
Moderators of the site may "lock" threads at their discretion for a variety of reasons. This prevents people from continuing to post on them, so they then quickly drop off the front page and into oblivion.
Personally, I enjoy all forms of discussion and debate, unless the language gets nasty or people start flinging personal insults about. I also enjoy researching things through a variety of different sources, so chasing down a juicy rumor can be fun. I also understand the position of the mods though. This site wants to become a credible source of information on MCXBLA, so allowing it to be taken over by rumours is not in the site's best interest.
Maybe there is a use for a thread like this . . but not how you state it, OP. . (No disrespect intended )
Lets say that there are rumours flying around, you do some research and can't find the answer. Rather than starting a new thread with each rumour, and risking infraction, you could post it hear and ask the community.
There is the twitter feed that I mentioned above, but that deals with 4J updates and comments, mainly.
I agree with all you say Up_Up, I too like the debate, and dislike the 'childish' behaviour that sometimes abounds.

I could have posted rumours that I've read, or heard, but then I'd be no better than some of the liars out there who just want to spread misery.
Having a thread like this may encourage them.
Also, there is a twitter feed on the forums, directly to 4J. . . .best to look on there if you hear any rumours.
