I think that it should stay on xbox and plastation user should get an xbox because playstation is a useless system. they just need to put minecraft on the windows phone.

Well, the PS3/Vita/whatever will be a tad less useless once you can play MC on it, right?
Seriously, though, I don't care what game is available on what platform(s). As long as the games I'm interested in are released for the Xbox (which doesn't always happen), I'm fine.

Is it a chicken or is it a duck? - It's a chuck, because dicken sounds stupid.
I know it's a rather pie in the sky kind of hope, but I'd love to see Minecraft spread to other consoles so that we could possibly play cross-platform one day (I know it'll porbably never happen, but i can dream, can't I!?).
I'd also pay for a DS version that I could take with me to the laundromat and places where i'm just sitting there bored and waiting. My average trip to the laundromat takes 30-45 minutes and there's only so much you can do with a phone before you get bored with it!

Seriously? What is wrong with you people. You have absolutely no reason to hate the PS3. Well except the fact that we don't have to pay to use the Playstation Network and that our exclusives have better graphics. If you are going to hate the PS3, you could at least say why instead of just using blind fanboy hate.
I own both an Xbox 360 and a PS3. I used to think like all of you people until I actually shut up and played a PS3. It has it's things I dislike just like the Xbox 360 does but it is in no way useless or some how inferior to the Xbox 360
I think every console base should get minecraft. I love exclusives (Halo fanboy here) but a game like minecraft should be available across all platforms. Imagine something similar to CS:GO (counter-strike: global offensive) with cross platform play i.e. xbox and ps3 ability to join worlds together.
It's common logic. If the game extends to other platforms, then the player base will greatly increase. I don't get your logic at all.
exactly. Exclusivity contracts only help the manufacturer (Microsoft) as some % of people will want the game so badly, they'll buy an xbox to get it. This was certainly true for Sony with its Final Fantasy line driving folks to buy the latest PS# to play it.
Exclusivity does not help the publisher of the game, as they realize reduced sales opportunities. The number of people who will buy a console to play a specific title is big enough for the manufacturer, but not larger than the increased sales a distributed release across multiple platforms will realize for the publisher. In exchange for this reduction in sales, the publisher is likely compensated for its loss (meaning MS paid 4J a bucket of money to make MC360 exclusive, which probably bankrolled the initial development).
Exclusivity does not help the game player. Ignore that for Game X on Console Y that you have happen to own was good for you. For any new game that is destined to be Exclusive, there is a % chance the platform is NOT for your chosen console. meaning, you risk losing out on a game because the publisher chose a side. Whereas, you always WIN as the consumer when the the game comes out on all consoles, because that guarantees it is available on the console you already made a large investment on.
Once the exclusivity with Microsoft ends, it should go wherever Mojang wants it too. I honestly think they should hold out for the next set of consoles. Imagine Minecraft on the Wii U, Xbox Durango (720), Playstation 4 (?).
I'm not so sure a Wii U could handle Minecraft, considering it's weaker than current gen consoles. Sad, silly Nintendo.
Thankfully, the Xbox 360 is more powerful than the PS3 and Wii/Wii U. Along with its better graphics and online capabilities, its no wonder Mojang went with Microsoft.

When it comes to multiplatform titles, the Xbox 360 out does the PS3. When it comes to PS3 exclusives however, the PS3 blows the Xbox 360 out of the water in terms of graphics and processing power.
Water, lighting, and shadows are far better on the PS3 than the Xbox 360.

I'd like to hear some actual reasons.
I'm pretty sure its going to stay an exclusive. Minecraft is helping out Xbox sales and will for 720 or whatever its called. This contract will last pretty long, I predict.

Wii U has 700 mb of ram and a quad core, so I think this is a possibility for the popular sweden game to go on a japaneese family friendly console. I actually believe it would be more fitting to put it on the Wii U. Espeicially with the game pad and how navigating items, using it as a map, and possibly a recipe viewer. As for Mustache guy, he makes a point saying that PS3 blows exclusives out of the park better then Xbox, but if minecraft navigated over to the PS3, it wouldn't be exclusive and I don't think a lot of the community would appreciate and notice it as much as Xbox's community. For Xbox, they had a ton of Minecraft rip offs like castleminer Z and total miner forge, so a lot of the community had a good idea about block building games, and a certain amount of them also knowed about minecraft. This isn't the same for PS3. I just don't see Minecraft fitting in with Sony. Possibly the NVidia Shield, that would be fun.

As soon as Microsoft produces something on this caliber or above, I'll admit the Xbox 360 has better graphics and is more powerful. As of now though, the PS3 takes the cake.
Watch in 720p of course.
The only problem with Minecraft on the PS3 is the way their RAM works. 4J already struggles with keeping Minecraft running smooth on 512MB of unified RAM. I'd hate to think how difficult it would be to do that on a split RAM system.
It doesn't matter what all you guys think. Mojang owns Minecraft, they can do what they want with there game. Minecraft is very popular and you are just trying to start a console war. The game is very well where it sands now and they may just leave it like this, but if they want Minecraft to reach more people they will expand to more platforms.
Exclusives are one of the major factors that sell the different consoles. If every game were on every console, you would only buy one console, and eventually there would be only one console you could get… the other "losers" would go out of business. But with no competition, it would be $1000. Competition is what keeps the prices down.
There will always be exclusives as long as there's different consoles (or cars, operating systems, wireless services, pretty much everything).
Don't they teach this stuff in school anymore?
The world isn't open source.
Deal with it.
Finally someone who understands simple laws of physics you can not have one without the other it as simple as light needs dark and dark needs light, fire needs water as water needs fire, a girl needs a boy as a boy needs a girl, microsoft needs sony and sony needs microsoft you can not have something with out something to opse it. If there is nothing to opse it, it will become a dictatorship and no one likes that.

I not to sure if you know but the Wii U is alot more powerful than the PS3 and xbox 360 it has pretty much 3x to 4x the ram power so it would probably be more than capable of doing it. Then again it has only being out for less than 6 months so it would explain it because it would have new equipment instald and the lastest stuff.
Also I don't really care what it come out on as long as it still got that good old blocky feel then i'm happy to play at there is no reasone in this world to say you don't like something if you actully have not tried it for your self.

I want MC to be the first game which exists in every console, but sadly Microsoft will support your side.
Microsoft's exclusive deal won't last forever. Eventually, Minecraft will be allowed onto other home consoles. Mojang just has to decided which ones they want to put it on.
I think that minecraft is one of those exclusive titles that helps xbox keep a certain status, much like halo. Sony has their exclusive power titles like God of War. Where is the competition if everyone has access to any title they ever wanted? I like being part of a group, rather than one in the crowd, I think minecraft should remain exclusive to current editions

I'm with you guys! Minecraft is just too good to be held to just a few platforms!

Lol..no. Just..no.
No. of Minecraft sales per day = 17k
Microsoft profit = $340k
