i think minecraft should be exclusive to bring in more players
Come on.
Really?
Really?
It's common logic. If the game extends to other platforms, then the player base will greatly increase. I don't get your logic at all.

A music/art idiot currently gathering dust on a shelf somewhere in Sydney, NSW.
Redstone fanatic, knows a bit about servers, has modded Minecraft.jar to have Comic Sans as the game font.
It's in Microsoft's interest to keep it an exclusive title into the Durango Release.
Given that we know some of 4J's biggest headaches have related to squeezing out as much memory efficiency as they can, and given that the Durango system is not likely to abandon C++ (or whatever they are using) as the core development language (anybody with Durango dev kits want to comment on this? ), it makes lot of sense for Microsoft to have a MCXBLA720 as a exclusive console release title (or at least a first wave title).
I would expect Microsoft is negotiating very hard to secure exactly this scenario; which, of course, gives 4J a LOT of leverage right now. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this particular deal wasn't written into the original agreement between Mojang, 4J and M$, perhaps explaining how 4J swung so many free title updates out of M$.
- Stay Exclusive on Xbox Sales at one point or another will slow down and settle
- Bring Minecraft to other gaming plataforms will bring in more money for mojang and 4j if 4j does the coding for other plattaforms as well
- More money might mean more free updates
- This mean more players enjoying the game in other plattaforms while all xbox minecrafters still enjoy it on their own
- No one gets affected if they release it on other plattaforms you just make it worse by keeping it exclusive...
- Mojang wouldnt of have made the extra 5 million sales it did from xbox if they would of kept it pc exlcusive
Personally I'd love to see it on Wii U above all else. I had serious doubts about this console but I am LOVING it. Having your item menu or even creative menu on that touch screen I'm sure would be awesome! Also the option to be able to play it fully on that tablet while someone watches tv or plays borderlands would be cool too!
But yea the more consoles the better so I'm all for Vita, especially when it doesn't really have any games to begin with.

Exclusivity agreements generally have a point in time written into the agreement upon which they expire. The way I read Jebs twitter is that he is just asserting Mojang's intention to honor the agreement already in place with Microsoft and not consider putting Minecraft out on any other consoles until the exclusivity clause within their current Microsoft agreement expires.- which is what they must do to avoid the possibility of Microsoft suing them for breech of contract. Furthermore, he has not indicated when that might occur. Since that expiration may not happen for several more months or even possible a year or more from now, I really don't see a point to speculating too much over it yet.

Or several years.
I wouldn't hold your breath on the "other consoles" thing happening anytime soon. If nothing else, there's such a thing as "renegotiation".
i think it should stay exclusive because there are games that stay exclusive to that system,i think minecraft should be exclusive to bring in more players.....if it's ok for minecraft to be on ps3 ,where do i go to petition getting "God of war" on xbox
Minecraft isn't made by Microsoft. They only paid big money for it to be on the Xbox 360. God of War is made by SONY. No amount of petitioning would get a competing companies game on its competitors system.
Games like Halo, God of War, Gears of War, Uncharted, etc, etc stay exclusive to their respective systems because they are made by the company that owns the system. That isn't the case with Minecraft. Mojang owns and is the maker of Minecraft. They are not exclusive to anything if they don't want to be. Seeing as how gaming is a business, they would make way more money if it went beyond the Xbox 360 once Microsoft's deal runs out.
Playstation sucks, if minecraft was on there console, it would be a big disgrace, but thats not that bad abot being on the vita. It would pretty much be like the iphone version but they would incorporate the touch pad.

I agree. The exclusivity period in the current agreement could even be for several years. My point is really that there is no decision anyone can make or influence at this point in time. Mojang is obviously currently bound by an exclusivity clause in their agreement with Microsoft, so whether or not anyone would like or not like to see the game on other console systems, is pretty irrelevant. Nothing can be done until after whenever that clause expires. I, for one, am certainly not going to hold my breath that long.
from a buisness standpoint i think it would be much better for sales for it to be on mulitiple platforms i for one would love to see it be on the wii u
If it's profitable for 4J to develop the game for Sony then yes Playstation should get it. Just because Microsoft and Sony are at war with each other doesn't mean gamers have to share the same prejudice towards the other system. Besides the more money 4J makes the more updates and goodies we get. After all they'll have more money to work with which keeps the bills paid, and offers an incentive to release more content to us.
Then there will this debate going on saying... "Which version of Minecraft Is better"/ "I Like the 3DS's Controls better".
And they will fight about which console runs Minecraft the best.
Also i think people will somehow stop buying Minecraft The original Pc game title and they will Flop in CASH.
So i don't really know if it will do well on EverySingleConsole.

Yes, The Vita should indeed get the mobile version. ( if you have played it you wold understand) The OP's logic is bassakwords..... The $360 version had the exact same reaction from the PC community. STFU!!..... things change. Why does it matter what version you play???? Not to be mean but, Xbox has less RAM than than PS3 and has NOTHING to do with the version you play. Some folks still make money off playing the Beta (KurtJmac) for an example. Get Over it guys/gals This topic is NOT needed IMO. What if it was still a PC exclucive........ THE ORIGINAL QUESTION HAS NO MERRIT as XBOX is not Exclusive if a human owns a phone or a computer. AGAIN STFU... This is NOT a debate. Just a Platform Elite hoping it stays that way.....
Not to be mean but, Xbox has less RAM than than PS3
Um, both the PS3 and Xbox 360 have 512MB of RAM. The only difference is that the Xbox 360 has a unified RAM pool. That allows the system to use whatever RAM it needs for whatever process it desires. The PS3 however, has its RAM split into two 256MB pools. One for the GPU and one for the CPU.

I put my shirt on one leg at a time, just like everybody else.
Exclusives are one of the major factors that sell the different consoles. If every game were on every console, you would only buy one console, and eventually there would be only one console you could get… the other "losers" would go out of business. But with no competition, it would be $1000. Competition is what keeps the prices down.
There will always be exclusives as long as there's different consoles (or cars, operating systems, wireless services, pretty much everything).
Don't they teach this stuff in school anymore?
The world isn't open source.
Deal with it.
