When i build a 2x2 hidden door the way most videos show , my lower pistons do not extend the stone blocks out when only wired from above. I ended up adding a tunnel with additional redstone under the floor and that seems to fix the problem. Am i missing something?
This page describes a bug that is being exploited by 2x2 doors such as this, however it looks like that particular bug is not present in the current Xbox 360 version. Can anyone else shed some light on this?

The bug is present in MCXBLA, I've utilized it hundreds of times. It seems the upper pistons are not updating their lower counterpart. I'm going to do some testing and post some screenshots if I hopefully discover something interesting.
Already discovered something interesting... The pistons on the bottom don't appear to be an active BUD when the top set extends. However, after manually updating the bottom pistons to extend, they update and retract normally with the redstone dust on the falling edge.
O_o I am beyond confused right now.
I'll just edit this post with any findings I come across.
i made these months ago and have always had the bottom set extend from there own power source and not rely on the top set ?
Not sure if it was always the case, but it's definitely not right. My post shows that it must be some kind of bug. When retracting, the bottom pistons react in a way you would expect them to. But, on a rising edge, they seem to completely ignore the top set of pistons.
Ok, firstly, here's a video of a set that tht definitely works on the Xbox 360:
I can't really explain why the ones shown in the other two videos by the OP don't work, I tried both and they failed in various ways.
That all said, most of these take advantage of the BUD bug, which is a weird one. Here's a pic that displays how it works (and another working door contraption): http://i.imgur.com/AHCbc.jpg
A piston 2 blocks below a powered block will only extend if a block directly next to that piston is updated somehow. I believe in the case of most of these 2x2 door systems, the other piston is what triggers this particular block update.
I'll just note that it's somewhat annoying when these tutorial makers don't explain that they're taking advantage of a bug in the game in order to achieve certain results. Or perhaps they don't actually know they're doing that, and just know how to assemble the pieces of a 2x2 door but don't fully understand it?
Edit: Another design, more compact, and the author actually discusses how the lower piston is powered at the end:

I guess i did not understand I was attempting to exploit a bug, i thought it was meant to work that way. Thanks for the info. That first video did not work for me. I have not tried the second. There are very few videos out there actually filmed on xbox, although many claim to work on the xbox.

I've been wondering about this issue for a few days and think I have a possible answer. Sort of.
