So yes this is my first time trying to find slimes in minecraft survival mode and I'm having a hard time. I tried the method where you dig to bedrock then 4 up and open a space there for them to spawn. I waited and waited and they didn't spawn. Then I tried this method http://extension.ws/minecraft/slimes.html but they didn't spawn neither so I need help finding them, there must be something I'm doing wrong.
I'm using the seed -4542319924001788665 from 2St0ned in case somebody knows where I can find them there.

Make sure you're waiting at least 24 blocks away from your farm. Slimes will not spawn within a 24 block radius of you.

Make sure the space is very well lit, and you wait far enough away from the farm itself. Slime finders help a lot

I prefer to start mine @ level 16. Get alot more there than at bedrock/level 4. So keep what you have and then build that same thing @ level 16 to double your chances.

Once you build an underground base below level 40, slimes become much more of an annoyance than a gift. So you could always try that I guess.

Okay I made another base between 16 and 40 and went to the far end of my world and waited there ages and still no spawn lol
Do you need to see one first for the to spawn?

You cannot go to far away either or they won't spawn. I've used that slime finder many times and its always worked for me. Making sure you're digging at the right coords and you have to light up ALL of the caves in the vicinity of the slime chunk or slimes are much less likely to spawn. Make sure you only go 25-35 blocks away from your slime chunk so they spawn.

Not sure if they're based on same program but I use the slime finder app from the Google Play store... Though in the past pre 1.7.3 map i did use that link you showed and it worked back then... Patience also. when I first set mine up. It took a couple days before they started spawning where I thought they weren't going to. But the more caves I lit up the more slimes I get. Literally walk out of a slime session with about 20-30 slimes at once.
