I am thinking about getting another Xbox and setting up an invisible gamertag/host to be running at all times so you can play the 360 version similar too the PC. The host would not play and just remain invisible. I am think of charging maybe 5 bucks a month to play, to help cover costs as well as keep people serious. Would anyone be interested in something like that? Obviously if people don't think it would be worth it I won't make the investment. Let me know if that's something that may interest some of you! Thanks!
There's no way in the world I'd pay $5 a month to play on someone else's world, or, as you call it, a "server". There is no such thing as servers in MCX360.
People are already doing this for free.. They set up a Xbox account and a "server" Xbox and let people join it. They're incurring the cost because they are willing to do this to have a MP experience... So no people would not pay for that.

That's the whole reason I am asking, just to see if people would be interested (obviously your not and thats fine) I would have it on 24/7 and the idea would be to have it everyone's world, not a single persons.

Charging players dough to be able to play on a 24/7 server would drive people away. If you really want to make your 24/7 server the best it can be, then make it free. As overlook said, people are already doing this for free. Why pay for it when you could find a "server" that's the same, if not better.
I guess the better route would be for me to find one of these guys that do it for free. I was thinking it would be fun but then thought off all the costs (gamertag, Xbox, utilities, game purhase, and running a machine 24/7 that's not ment to run constantly) and thought maybe people would be interested in helping with cost. Clearly if there is a free alternative people would go there though! Must say after adding it up those are some very generous people and I hope everyone is appreciative!

Oh yeah definitely, The workload on that poor Xbox has got to be rough.

If I'm paying to play on a server, it better be a hell of a lot better than someone's 360. Also, you do realize that playing on the separate Xbox is going to drain bandwidth from the host console acting as a server, right? No offense, but you didn't put much thought into this, did you?
You might as well run your current 360 24/7, save the HDD and buy a new one when/if the console overheats. It would make more sense than having the virtually pointless Xbox set up alongside it. Cheaper, and it leaves you an extra free slot for other players. But... still a pretty dumb idea.
EDIT: This came out a little more blunt than I intended. For that, I apologize. Pay no mind to me, I'm just sick and cranky.

No worries on the bluntness I can take it, I do disagree about thinking it out though. While I get your point about one console, I play other games and do other things on my console and want this to be a true 24/7 hosting, which would mean all MC all the time. Also the connection should be an issue I am lucky enough to have 100/50mb fiber optic where I am at.
I talked to some buddies and it sound like we are going to just split the up front cost and go ahead and do it. Probably something that should have been done to begin with, just curious what others thought. I get that its hard to trust some random guy on the internet with your money :-)
I m not sure if anyone would pay to play on a MC360 server. Main reasons being there is no griefers defense, limited map size, and limited players allowed in mp. I would only see it as a fun thing to set up between a few trusted friends.
