When are mods and texture packs coming. I mean xbox 360 has a web browser. Why can't we just use that to download stuff? Hell even if it were to be in the market place I'm pretty sure people would buy. If people could mod games like cod 4 it should be so much easier to mod minecraft. Without mods we are missing out on one of the big parts of minecraft. Also we should be allowed to look for a random sever if we don't feel like playing with our friends. One last thing some one should look into making severs able to hold more people than 8. some people like to play thing like hungers games and battle craft. Other than that I thank 4j and mojang for making such consistant updates on our minecraft worlds.
There was a thread about this a couple of days ago. The search function in the main forum should find it for you.
As for your OP.. . 4J had confirmed that they are working on texture pack support. . . if I remember right.
Mods will not be on MCXBLA in the form of user mods. All updated etc need to go through Microsoft cert testing. Which is why we wont ever have them. However, 4J MAY release mods in the future, or on the next gen console.
Sorry if I sounded 'snappy', it's just been asked sooooo many times.
this has been talked about since the beginning of xbox edition. We finally got somewhat an answer from 4J, basically saying no. They will have texture packs in the future, but will be of their own design. The mod part they Might, no guarantee, make a few DLC that change the game a certain way, however that is further down the line than texture packs more likely. The DLC more likely will not be exact copies of what is out there for the pc, but it will be of their own making just like texture packs.
More or less to say, not at this time and further down the road a maybe, but for now the concentration is to get the game up to 1.2.3 pc equivalent with some added bonuses along the way.
I myself prefer the vanilla edition over having it modded, as some mods just take what I like about minecraft and change it drastically to point it doesn't make sense or even resembles what I liked about the base game. I do admit I like certain mods, but most the ones I like are things like adding blocks, recipes, and new worlds to visit...
I just don't see any of that happening too soon...

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

Welcome to the forums by the way!
