Ok so, in my creative world - which didn't have a snow biome - it snowed the other day and covered all the biomes in snow.. and it repeatedly snows. It's getting so.. so.. annoying.
Is anyone else having this problem? My world doesn't even have a snow biome, like WTF, everything is covered in damned snow, even the desert biome and the ocean has frozen over completely.
Can someone, please explain, wtf is going on?
I hate snow, so much.
Every time biome changes are made (new biomes, old biomes removed) this happens because the physical part doesn't change (the blocks) but the invis part does change. (Temperature, weather, mobs, plants, etc) This will never happen again as they have no more biomes to add. (Well, after they add Jungles) Unless they add more.
There is nothing you can do. I had a desert biome from 1.66-1.73 get frozen over in 1.82 then it started unfreezing in 1.01.
This happens to every version of the game (xbox, PC, pocket, maybe Pi.)

Religion, has actually convinced people, that there's an invisible man, living in the sky, who watches everything you do every minute of the day, and the invisible man has a special list. Of 10 things he doesn't want you to do. And if you do ANY of these ten things he has a special place, full of fire, and smoke, and burning, and torture, and will send you there to suffer and choke and scream for all of eternity... But he still loves you.
I take it your world was a pre-update world? If I'm right, then it's a bug. Check the bugs thread. All old worlds are screwed.
Sigh... People people... It's not a bug... But it's not intended either. The code was changed in the place where that biome was. This is why you can get half mountains if you do not explore a whole world entirely. The map HAS to follow 1.82 generation without messing with the physical part.

Bug, Glitch, aliens, whatever. . . it's not intended, and it's been mentioned in the bugs thread. . . ALL you people who mentioned it in there are wrong, and should be arrested as its not a BUG. . .
Either way, you'll have to start a new world if you get cold.

One thing to remember is that there were at least 2 biome shifts. So you may have some frozen/snowy areas where it rains, because the first shift made in arctic, then it shifted to something else, but the ice/snow doesn't melt naturally.
I had this happen on my old world. To help correct it, I laid out lines of glowstone with a 6 block gap. The glowstone melts the snow and ice and by the time you get done laying out an area, it's probably thawed out at the starting point. So you go whack the glowstones where it is melted and by the time you've cleaned up, the area is back to normal.
It's easy to detect these "wrong" weather areas because it will be raining over ice/snow covered ground.
