I like just exploring worlds with creative on PC, I actually do survival on xbox
My exact thoughts. Honestly I do not mind, at all, being restrained to just the 1 map on xbox. When it comes to survival, you really don't need more unless you play with 5+ players. With 4 people, if the map is divided into 4, it is close to impossible to get bored.
OP, I say yes. It's 20$ for a game that has the most replay value out of any known to my mind, it gets somewhat frequent updates (4J wants to do every 2 months, I believe), and really, what more could you ask for? There's 60$ games I've been disappointed with, but rarely have I been with this 20$ one.
"let's ask a group of people who either are so obsessed with, or despise, this game that they go onto an internet forum about said game how they feel about the game."

This doesn't make sense..
OP is asking if he should buy the Xbox version. It's fair to assume he's played another version, and is not asking on how people feel about the game. Just if he should play specifically on the Xbox.

Good point, I didn't think of it that way. I just saw a post asking for opinions on this game on that game's forums. That is the worst place to get opinions. 99% of the population will say spend spend spend, while 1% will say (rather rudely) not to buy.

I need to give out more reputation. I'm not used to the system, but I see so many helpful posts. D: Sorry if I forget you!
I still to this day can not get ONE seed that has everything that the update claims the game to have.
I've got a perfect seed. After hours of trying to generate my own.. yes hours. I couldn't find everything. So that's why there is a seed list for those individuals that struck gold with theirs.. So I used one and couldn't be happier.. 2 updates since I've bought it and now I'm used to starting new worlds. It's fun perfecting what you had before... Each world comes out better than the last.

Check it out for awesome tutorials and constant content!
Yes. Since you have XBox Live, etc. already, I think it would probably be a great addition to the games you already have. Your best bet, though, is to play the demo for a bit and decide for yourself.
I have Xbox Live and all that, but the title says it all.
well it depends do u have a gaming computer if not then yes mcx360 is definatly worth the money i used to play it all the time but now i have a wii u and havent played xbox or anything else for that matter since im even posting this from my wii u lol
BUY IT.
It is awesome.
It has more options than PC, but doesn't have more blocks then PC, but you can sit on your couch and play or play splitscreen.
BUY IT!

Am I the only one around here who doesn't like mods?

I get where you're coming from, it would be silly to ask opinions on Minecraft on a Minecraft dedicated forum.
The way I look at it is content to price ratio. I've payed 60$ for games I've played less than Minecraft. Minecraft is 20$, not including skins. Then I've spent a whole whopping extra 9$ for all of them, and I enjoy them all. If you like Minecraft, with the comforts of a Console, it's worth it. Plus, I'm not gonna go buy a nice custom computer to play, or host, a decent server on the PC. My laptop runs PC like crap, Xbox is much smoother than my laptop. It's a decent laptop also, not the best being HP, but it's not old.
IMO, Xbox360 Controllers make building so much faster (not including mods) than PC. To each their own though
So hubby and I have our own 360's. Yes really we have no children so, a little extra free money around.
We bought Halo 4 because we love Halo... we started playing. Then his brother starts in with the, "Get Minecraft!!! We can play together!" After a few weeks of resisting, hubby breaks down gets the game. I look and go "whatever Imma go blow stuff up." ...
I sit down at his console and start playing minecraft ...
I go over to mine and buy my own copy...
I'm on the forums here, he's not.
Is it worth it?
I dunno, if you find a game that you end up enjoying so much not because you're blowing stuff up, but you get to BUILD stuff in the game... then yeah, it's way worth it.
I know I've gotten a lot more than 20bucks worth of entertainment out of it.
It depends on what you normally play. I've always been a console gamer, so I'm used to the controls. I tried playing it on the PC, but it plays differently. Looking around and the other controls didn't fit me. It's a great buy if you're more of a console gamer, but if you play primarily PC games, the controls aren't the greatest. But, to each his own.
Hmmmm.
I don't really like it going in a different direction of the PC really. I'll consider it a bit longer.
And OMG so many responses in 24 hours O_O

Well, ever since the release. Had many problems and lack of bugs. There's not much stuff on this version. But its getting there. I don't play it that much.
PC is much much better. We can install mods easier

It'll make you addicted to it.
Truly...like a drug, it is the most fun ever. But then every day you turn on your xbox, you have to play it just to get by... lol
