Once we can fight the Enderdragon that will be fun, but what if we don't want to start a new world to fight it again after many hours invested in our world? Right now when you defeat it, it goes away for good, everyone I talk to about it agrees that that is very dumb. Why spend hours to get enchanted items and potions ready for an awesome boss that you only kill one time and then no more on that world? We would love if the Enderdragon could respawn in the end after you beat it, so we don't have to just load the file to see it again or start a new world. Once defeated the game feels dead and pointless, what is the point of endermen farms if you can't fight the dragon again with the pearls or if you are just in the mood to beat it again.
I really don't want to work for weeks to get to the boss fight if you only get to fight it one time, that is lame. Thanks for reading.
It would be awesome if the egg hatched into the dragon if you left it in the end, so you could fight it again if you want, or if you just feel like a negative nancy you can take the egg out of the end so it wont respawn. This way both sides win, some want it to respawn and some don't, so it would be wonderful if we had the choice, and that would give the egg a purpose and would be a unique xbox feature.
It is the dragon I would want to fight multiple times, the wither is less interesting to me. Yes loading the game after beating it is pointless, I said already that I wouldn't want to just start over or load the game without saving. If this gets added for the next update I will enjoy being able to endlessly add to my world and continuously fight the Enderdragon.

This. I've been saying exactly this since my son showed me his battle with the Ender Dragon and then proceeded to tell me he could only do it once. I wtf'd because it makes no sense. The egg is a nice decoration, i suppose, and great bragging rights, if you managed to beat it in survival, but i would leave that egg in The End in a heartbeat if it meant another go at the dragon. Even if i had to wait xx amount of real-world time or whatever.

i hope they find a way of implementing the 'end' in old worlds, after every update ive started a new world, only to delete it and go back to my old world from 9 months ago,
i really dont want to start a new world !!
well since you can place the portal rim I would think so. Whether it would work when the time comes or not is a different matter. This done in creative. It would be the only way. I do agree, if that does not work, maybe have a conversion of some kind, that could reset the nether when asked and also add the end to the file. That way you would be able to have both the nether fortress and the end. Just an idea, and would be nice I think...:D

Since we now have end portals, i would hope The End would simply be linked to the current portals without starting new worlds. Of course, while it would be easy enough in computer programming, i don't know how they will do it for the XBox. Here's hoping. I'm also tired of having to start new seeds with every update since i don't like using creative on my survival maps.

I know there's a lot of end/final bosses who I was glad to get rid off once and for all, nevermind wanting to do it all over again D: just my way of seeing it anyway
Hard to explain but I purposely throw myself at hard game situations for the fun of it, I love fighting hard bosses repeatedly.
besides a lot of people on the PC like to use the End to create various Endermen farms as an easy & fast source of gaining XP for Enchantments, so having a re-spawning Enderdragon might make people unhappy if they can't do anything like that with their 'End' area.
That is why if we had the choice of if it respawns it would make everyone happy.
Crap I did the post wrong but I'm using a phone so I don't feel like correcting it, my posts are mixed in that quote.
I am I the only one here who thinks a pacified End kingdom would be an amazing spectacle? Someone could create a medieval castle by connecting the obsidian towers with dark-colored walls and using them as barriers from the outside threats. Perhaps, the obsidian towers could have bridges between them to make some sort of Darwinian society, staying high above the Endermen below, living only as they do to avoid possible death, and any of the weak who could not sustain themselves in such a land would die. Perhaps, a civilization could live underground by maintaining a constant trade with the Overworld for its exclusive, nonrenewable resources (glass, coal, iron, diamond, etc) and heavily farm the renewable resources (cobblestone, wood, flora, fauna, etc), although it would require extreme preparation. Perhaps, settlements could be built on the multitudes of flat land on the surface!
These possibilities are only limited by the presence of the Enderdragon. If you want to feel the thrill, kill it and carry on with your loose cannon life. To the contrary, we folks find it as just the fence you must pass to enter a whole new world of civilization and humanity much different than that of the alternative dimensions.
why would I want to fight a pushover again again...><
Literally the dragon is a pushover, not in the sense it is weak, but the fact it is not it that would kill you, just the push over the edge. Well that is how it was/is on the pc version. That and it reeks destruction of anything except obsidian. Like a giant creeper that swoops down on its prey destroying anything in its' path, except for you. O_o
LOL
Anyway I would have to agree with the above post, as I would rather build in the end without having to be "pushed" over the edge every time I climb up high. If it was an option I am sure I would not truly use it since I would rather just get it done and over with so I can do something more important in that extra world...:D

In a previous post I said you could just leave the egg in the end for it to respawn, or take it out and the dragon wont respawn, this makes it optional. Yeah though I guess some of us are weird and don't want a cool boss to just be a one time thing per world.
The ender dragon is not a hard boss fight at all. The deadliest thing about the end is the Enderman and if you create even 2 snow golems they won't get anywhere near you. I remember watching a group of people kill the enderdragon with beds...yes beds they would wait for him to get close and then sleep in a bed so it would explode and that's how they killed him. It should only be a one shot deal like others said just save before fighting him (back it up on your cloud even)
XP is not hard to get (even easier with the end and possible Enderman farms) and the dragon isn't all that special. No need to use time coding it's resurrection when they could be doing more updates/bug fixes.

I don't know though, but that would be cool.

That defeats the purpose of killing him a second time.

Stay fluffy~
From what I've seen it can be spawned infinitely since I had 4 demolishing a world once....

That is exactly how it works in Minecraft and that is exactly how it should stay.
