I've been going around the forum these last few days and everyone keeps complaining about not being able to find blaze spawners. whats the big deal about them? blazes spawn frequently without spawners (enough to kill me frequently), so why is everyone obsessed with them?

Actually, they don't spawn naturally within a nether fortress on the XBox. We currently seem to have a bug, which means no blaze spawner equals no blazes at all. but seriously, I have dozens of blazes spawning in my fortress, no where near the spawner (it goes across the whole nether basically) and my friends didn't have a spawner, but we did have blazes

They might be invisible. I've seen people saying that they've loaded a world (one known to have a spawner) and it wasn't at the coordinates. Maybe yours is invisible but still spawning blazes..

I think in the Xbox spawners are somewhat... random. Or sporadic or something. I found a triple spawner in some world, and when I wanted to make a farm out of them, I loaded up a new world in creative to try it out, but only two of the dungeons were there. Had to load up the map 3 more times before the 3rd dungeon appeared.
Maybe the Blazes are spawning from the spawners and are just wandering away from them, because I don't believe they spawn naturally throughout the Nether.

They may be invisible like Howarthee says, but they may also be buried in netherrack. If you read the bugs thread, you will find incidents of both invisible spawners and spawners being buried in netherrack.
Blazes wander. Always have. Once they spawn, their AI does not limit them to only staying near their spawner/spawnpoint. I believe blazes only have to be within xx range of nether brick, meaning they can wander all over the fortress.

If you dont have a spawner when you first walk into the nether you will find blazes (naturally). But after about 18 kills or less they will stop spawning randomly (because you explored the areas).

No need to be so rude. This is not speculation or something, it's observation. In the Xbox version of the game, from my experience, Blaze do in fact spawn all over, despite not having a spawner present. You can't just talk down to me and say I'm wrong. I have seen it.
