I don't think they will add the option to keep a server online while the host goes offline, it has to be hosted from someone somewhere. But what WOULD be cool is if people can make their worlds "public" and if there were a list of worlds online that you can play on without being their friend. That would be awesome

Yeah that would be great, Or have a host and a moderator and if the host has to leave he puts the moderator as the host. But then again who knows if we will ever get server list.... I HOPE WE DO
They've been having "talks" about trying to get servers for MC, but if they ever succeeded it would cost money. There are other games that have this feature, so it wouldn't be out of the question. Still I think they're more likely to implement a map sharing feature before the go the server route. As for more players they said they're working on that too. Don't know if we'll ever see it though.
RPG's need to be run properly or else they don't work. Here's a few tips...
1. Find a host. Someone who's almost always online, or someone that has 2 xbox's.
2. Don't make too many pointless "jobs". I know you want the feeling of a mmorpg, but having too many jobs is not very smart. I see so many "RPG's" that have things like shopkeeper, Blacksmith, Guard, etc.. Do you realize how boring those jobs are? Try free role play instead.
3. Don't use a currency. In a game where certain items are more valuable than others it doesn't really work unless it's balanced to a T. Even then I'd still rather trade with someone than "buy" it from a shop.
Well they mentioned this awhile ago in one of their tweets, and nothing has come of it thus far. If it does happen we'll probably be looking at a monthly fee with a yearly option. Sort of how Microsoft does with Xbox Live.

xbox live has the option to go monthly too. you could also just pay for a server a year in advance if you like it that way.
However, they don't have servers yet on minecraft, unless you make an xbox a server that is constantly on or something.
