Villages are less rare than I thought, there are like 3 in each world and the world is limited. There should be 1 village in each world so it can be more rare. When theres more villages the game is easier.
I don't think villages make the game much easier. When sheep were not spawning just after 1.8.2 came in, they were a life-saving source of wool, but that is no longer an issue since ample animals, including sheep, are currently spawning in most seeds. In some other seeds where trees are very limited, they have provided me a life-saving source of wood and also a quick source of food. However, for most seeds where wood is plentiful and a few apples and animals can be found to give the player some early food sources, having a village handy doesn't really make a whole lot of difference. Most average players would survive initially with or without them.
The number of villages does vary significantly from seed to seed. I have generated numerous seeds that have had only one village and a few that have had no villages at all.

Xbox worlds are limited? Like, not endless? That sucks if so

Yep. Xbox Minecraft worlds are incredibly small, and most (if not all of them) are missing a primary ingredient of a good Minecraft world. For example, your world might not have clay, sugarcane, cacti, one of those underground fortress thingies, an abandoned mineshaft, a dungeon, blazes, or one of those nether underground fortress thingies.
And since the world is extremely limited, you can't just expand the map until you find one of those things. If you spend 10 hours building a civilization only to find that your nether is basically empty, you just wasted 10 hours.
i dont see why having 3 or more villages is a problem,in fact,i have a city with walls and towers that started with a npc village.
i also loot them very often to supply my great city,so you lost me
Too many? Uhh what? I'm still looking for a seed that has like more than 6 in it. You can never have too many villages! They're great for starting quick RPG servers and such.
My world has 8 and I don't see how easier the game is. First of all, they do not have chests in the black smith like the PC version with armour and other goodies in them, so the only possible resources you can obtain are the very commonly found all over the world like someone mentioned before. cobble and wood isn't rare at all, and the farms do help out when you first first start the map. Anyways I think it's pretty cool, my temporary shelter until I gather enough brick is a village
I'd like to see how a world just 'ends' then! Would be interesting to see
On the PC, it continues to render blocks past the end point, but those blocks don't actually exist. They're there just to make it look nice. If you try to walk on them, you fall through into the void and die.

Then, find a seed with 1 or no villages. XBox version seeds are randomly generated. Of course, we do have the choice whether or not to have structures (i.e. villages).
villages make game easier? O_o I am wondering how that thought even came about. Sure it is shelter from mobs to some degree, and since there is no beds in the buildings that doesn't make easier to survive the night. You still have to deal with all those creepers and spiders that spawned in the night when you step outside.
Resources is irrelevant since those are mostly common resources found around the world. I would rather gather for myself then tear down a village. Plus where are the stray villagers going to live? That is assuming they do not wander off too far for you to shove them back in the house. Have you ever tried to get a villager back in their house or at least one of them? That is a chore and a half, plus before you know it night has fallen and you have to survive it quicker to do what really matters.
I do like the fact that villages spawn in general like they do, but that is what looking for good seeds to build on is all about. If you didn't want so many villages, then generate a new seed. I actually look for seeds with not so much plains, desert, and ocean. Maybe enough ocean to have that new island biome, but still. It is much easier to just generate a new seed till you find one to suit you. I have yet to get down to enchanting, as most my seeds are missing certain things I like or just have too little of it. I am very picky when comes to generation, but that does not stop me from generating till I find one...:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
If you're talking about the resources they provide, anyone can easily gather just as much in about the same time it would take to tear down a village.

I likes it. Good solution.

Exactly what he meant. We have a limited map, unfortunately.
And 3 villages are not many at all, considering how much space they actually take up.
I do think it'd be better if they enforced the villages to spawn whole, rather than random pieces missing.

wow, I always wondered what would happen when you multiplied by 0, and I guess this means that you get a huge minecraft world.
What exactly does that mean?

It means that they do have an end. But it's so far away that most just say it's endless.

I'm just saying villages need to be more rare
