So pretty much before the update, this was accurate at least for my other seed. This seed however I cleared out two lava lakes and two lava puddles and made an area for slime spawning which was very tedius to do. Yet I've lit it up brighter than daylight, I wait around 25-50 blocks away, and yet STILL no slime spawn .
I'm wondering if an update broke something in the system as to why they are not spawning?
And I just had a skeleton spawn in my overly-lighted slime farm....Is light broken?
ell I had about 2 medium slime spawn and one tiny despite having a large enough room for large to spawn. I'm not sure why but something is broken. Perhaps there is a cave nearby that I don't know about and need to mine around and fill in. 3 slimeballs for my effort which is not nearly enough.
iuse the app and worked great i made mine at lvl 16 and at bedrock and they swarm. definately saw a huge spike after i lit surrounding areas... but yes still works!

i've heard mixed answers on it, but for me it worked. i really enjoy digging out slime farms by hand (dont you judge me >_>) so i went for it and dug out one chunk. it worked like it did before.
The long wait time for slimes seems to make sense. I guess my best bet is to make the cave larger and fill in what looks like more lava lakes and hopefully receive more slime spawns. It's possible I might have to light most of the floor as well considering I'm getting zombies and skeletons spawning in overly lit rooms, and it seems more than usual.
I am a good slime farm maker. i have noticed that the slime finder is not as accurate as it used to be I use to get slime to spawn right away after i dig out the chunk but this time nope it takes me 5 chunks to finnaly get em to spawn. and yes i knwo how to make em spawn i know all the work so dont say i dont know it. I dont know why but thats what it is I feel like its less accurate this days
It works, you have to eliminate other mobs from spawning. This means lighting up all caves and above ground for 128 (I think, could be more/less) blocks in all directions.

ITs like you know i know what i do and I dont make mistakes? Idk but all i know is im good at making it and in my pov the slime locator is not as good as it was

Hmm now that you mention it, I have been hearing spiders and zombie noises from past the walls, must look into where they are coming from!!
