Go to the nether and equip an efficiency IV diamond pick axe.
Point at any wall near, above or below you that is made of netherrack and spin your camera stick in circles quickly while mining. Sometimes jumping really sets it off more easily.
Mine sounds like a gatling gun lol and it mines crazy fast! Just wondering if the computer is trying to register all of the hits or if its a glitch...?
This works as intended, for more information on enchantments, you can visit this page. Currently, the "Thorns" enchantment is not on the xbox version of minecraft.

Yes, that is the correct behaviour. The pickaxe will also instantly mine dirt, and sand if I am not mistaken. I don't carry a shovel or an axe, because an eff IV enchanted pickaxe mows through anything those tools can just as quickly.
True. But if you use a pickaxe on anything other than stone/ore, it loses it's durability twice as fast.
That's only if you care, that is.

Well you can get Unbreaking III though, which is pretty common with efficiency, I'm guessing that affects it quite a lot.
Yeah i bet you're right.
Although I also bet no one wants to enchant a shovel of all things, i'm sure it would still last quite longer if it had the same enchantments, yes?
But I'm just one of those nit-picky people who only use certain tools when necessary, so tools breaking occur often for me. (Stone tools all around, diamond pickaxe for only obsidian, iron pickaxe for ores, and only leather armor).

If you mine a block with a tool that is not intended to mine the certain block, the tool will lose it's durability twice as fast.
I'm just sad because no one claimed that the Xbox 360 isn't a computer. I was completely looking forward to calling out and brutally attacking that person.

I'm pretty positive the PC and Xbox version have the same tool durability.
