I have my xbox in my room, and it's a good set up, but my friend just gave me his xbox, because he doesn't want it anymore, so I put it in my living room. I want to have minecraft down there, because my family also likes Minecraft, but the xbox with Minecraft is upstairs. Can I transfer the data from my upstairs xbox to the downstairs one? Without paying more money, and without having to start all over?
Then once you get the game on the Xbox you want, you can use cloud saves to transfer your worlds.
I saved it to the cloud on the first xbox, went down to the second xbox, and it still wasn't saved to the downstairs one. Then I tried to license transfer, and it wouldn't show me Minecraft, only my most recent ones. (I got minecraft months ago). I tried to do it again, and it said I had to wait until 4/28/13 to do it again.
I'm pretty sure you can use USB to transfer it. I'm pretty sure it's not against the rules (why would they add an option?) & it only takes a few minutes to install. It doesn't take a computer geek either.

No, that wouldn't work, you will still need the account to sign into, as the other account would't own the game.

it sounds like it messed up on Xbox Live's side in their database. you'll need to call Xbox Live support and tell them what happened.
Could you not just put your xbox downstairs, and the 'new' one upstairs. . . . . . saves transferring data etc.
Well the new one is 4gb, and I play all my other games upstairs. My first xbox is 250gb, so it wouldn't make sense to have the "smaller" xbox where I play most of my games.

Download your profile on the other xbox, then just put it on cloud....
My profile is on both xboxs. I tried to put it on the cloud on the first xbox, but it still won't show up in My Games on the second xbox. Also when I save it to the cloud, I lose all my data. Do you know if downloading games twice losses data from the first xbox?

USB Stick? Only about £3.
