Hey Guys Just Wondering Your Thoughts On The 360 Version Of MC
i have it on PC and was wondering if the 360 is worth getting if u have it on the PC already
I own both the PC version & Xbox version, & to tell you the truth, I haven't even played an hours worth of Minecraft on PC since buying the Xbox version when it was released all the back in May. There's something about the Xbox version that just feels so much better. I guess it's that I prefer a controller over a keyboard & mouse. Well that, & being able to kick-back on my bed & play Minecraft on a 46' plasma.

This. And I had the PE version, but deleted it off my iPad… let's just say "for many reasons".
Some people will say they're spoiled by the xbox version, others will say they're spoiled by the PC version. The Big Mistake is trying to compare the two and having the mind set that they "should" be the same. Two different games, two different platforms, two different upgrade paths, and both have (different) advantages and disadvantages.
I would say yes, regardless of your preference, there is something about the controls and the streamlined crafting that make the 360 version quite entertaining. To compare the two is not a good idea, cause it always ends in a PC vs. Console fanboy battle royale, so I'll just say get both, it's worth it.
Also, as a side note, a buddy of mine and I looked at it from a financial point of view, if you get both editions, you end spending about as much as you would buying a standard console game. Now look at the amount of time you spend playing Minecraft compared to another game and you'll see that the hours of entertainment per dollars spent ratio is much higher for Minecraft.
I love the Xbox version but that's only because I stopped playing the PC for reasons. I can be sure when I say this, if your friends are playing it, get it. If you are mostly a PC MC veteran then don't, it seems the people accustomed to using mods became spoiled and think the non-modded MC is bad.
As long as you don't compare the 2. If you going thinking it is a "Port" from pc, then you will not like it. However if you go in thinking it as another version of minecraft, then it is all up to you whether you want to experience the many things it has to offer. PC and xbox editions will never be the same. They will have their own stuff in the vanilla edition. Sure there are similarities, but that is where it ends.
Mainly what attracts some to the xbox edition is the interface and the controls.
I actually own both versions. I enjoy both version for what they are. Each has their own charm as a separate edition...:D

It's hard to imagine not getting at least 20 hours of play out of it. For me that's the simple equation for a games purchase. Given you already like MC, I'm betting you will like it.
I play the PC version and the xbox version, and this is what I have come up with.
Pros: You can have a voice chat with your friends while playing, without a skype account. Survival mode is really fun with one other player, especially if you work together. All updates that are not bug fixes, add significant features to the game. Limited worlds, If you are the type of person who gets lost easily.
Cons: Creative mode is lacking. No end Limited worlds, if you are an explorer type. Not fully updated Long time between updates Redstone has some issues...
I personally think it's decent, mainly because I can talk to my friends and because of limited worlds.

Personally I like the Xbox version much better, despite having less items, mobs, biomes, and not being limitless. Having a fixed world size makes it easier to find generated structures and minerals (I have found 6 dungeons on one xbox world). Also the controls are much better, except for sprinting. It's well worth the $20.
Lastly, it is much, much easier to play with friends.

Just get it. You won't be sorry.
