So after the 1.8 update I went back into my old world from the first version of Minecraft Xbox, and nothing had changed. I heard that other people's worlds were covered in snow and the grass color changed, but my world was untouched.
BUT NOW all of a sudden its completely covered in snow after the 1.9/1.0.1 update. Seriously, half of my old desert boime is snow and my awesome "lake" is just ice. Keep in mind it was fine after the 1.8 Title Update.
Anyone else having this problem or does 4J studios just like getting on my nerve? And any word if theyre going to fix this? Thanks.
I doubt it. it is consequence to adding biomes and such... each update that brings new terrain, will mess up old worlds, even if not seen initially.
Although I wouldn't mind them adding an option to convert old worlds to new worlds by putting in something that cross references what each biome is in your world and then labels each to a new one... That is getting each biome what they should be and not what that area will be due to the seed # it is. As for undiscovered portions of the map, that will remain what it is, as it would only mess with what was discovered.
that would be nice in the very least.:D
unfortunately I am unsure it will happen...:(
