Yesterday, i was playing minecraft xbox. I found a huge ravine and i found out i didn't have my pick (since i was originally going out for food so all i had was a sword and a couple of dirt blocks) So i went back to my house and i went to my chest. I got 2 stone pick-axes and 1 iron pick, just incase i found diamonds or something. I was going back outside and i was going to hit my door to open it. (thats what alot of people do so i startde doing it frequently) I accidently hit my dog. (sometimes they r a bit anoying like when they stand right infront of your door. When i hit it it actually started attacking me. So i had to kill it. I have know idea if they r suppost to do that. Please respond if u know whats going on.

I think it's meant to do that, though I might need some clarification on that. I'm fairly sure I've hit my dog before and it didn't attack me. Either way, this is why I don't keep dogs, they're a pain.

A tamed Wolf should not turn on it's owner when hit. It will keep taking those hits until it dies. My guess is that it's a bug that came with the recent update.

indeed. in my main medival seed i play in, all 7 of my wolves were sitting in one area that i was saving for all my breeding/animals and when trying to get them to follow me so i could move them, the option never came up to move them. As soon as I hit one, it came after me. Each wolf did that. Probably the only bug i've ever ran into going from one update to the next.

Luckily I don't have any wolves at the moment, I don't want to get arrested for animal cruelty
Let's hope this get fixed so we can torture wait... I mean "play" with our wolf friend again.

It is definitely a bug/glitch how ever you want to call it. I believe the intended behavior is to protect not hurt you. although the teleporty thing needs a bit of work.. They should never teleport when they are sitting. Well they shouldn't. Never attack you. Protect when you are in danger.

Basically. odd another thing from the pc came to being...lol

oh well I am sure it will be fixed eventually... might want to put this in the bug thread just in case...:D

This is a glitch. Tamed wolves are not supposed to hit you back. (Unless they are another player's wolves) This glitch happens when the game updates. This will sometimes cause the wolves to be reset to a wild wolf, but they will still be sitting and have a red collar. It happens on the PC version and it hasn't been fixed yet.

my friends keep accidentally hitting my dogs, and then my dogs either kill them or they kill my friend, in which case I then go and kill my friend for killing my dog. lol.

When I first played the game I had the wolves go from tamed to untamed after accidentially hitting one (their red collars went away). Hasnt happend to me since. I dont know if I have ever had a tamed wolf attack me though.

The other day I was making cakes in my house and I heard a bunch of noise out by my animal pens, I went out and looked over to the wolves pen and two of my tamed wolves where fighting eachother and did so till 1 died, lol it was the craziest thing. It was actually like real dog fights, I almost looked around for other players to start taking bets, lol j/k. (Dog fights are completely and udderly wrong and just sick). Anyway, I have to agree with the others and feel this is a bug too, I remember being able to hit them tamed and they would actually runaway like the passive mobs do, only to return for another hit lol. so I Vote Bug,

So I was really pleased with myself cause I had gathered up a ton a bones and found a pack of wolves and tamed them all. I was super happy and all that. I went into a forest looking for a new dog since one of my had recently died from a skeleton.

So I found I believe three wolves-but I accidentally hit it so it was just those three wolves attacking me right? Wrong. ALL 7 of my days turned on me and I died. Ok that's the end of it...RIGHT?? WRONG!!!!! I respawn and all my dogs spawn with me but they continue to attack me!!!!!!

So I didn't even bother going on mine craft for a couple days. Eventually I went back on mine craft and the dogs were gone. I was pretty sad. BUT IT DOESNT END THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Once I was mining in a deep cave and I was with my new other two dogs then bam! The 7 dogs came back to kill me ag

ain. So they kill my dogs and me. I call them evil killer phantom dogs lol. And to be honest-I had TOTALLY forgotten about these dogs. So I was REALLY surprised when they just sorta appeared there and started killing us. (FYI this incident happened several weeks ago) can u believe that it seriously doesn't end there either?

Today, I got lost and I found some of my old dogs that got lost when I died and I was super happy!!!! I called them my Magpies. Anyways, I was really happy, and I decided to follow the coast line. I was walking with my whole long lost magpie family, and my back was turned to them and then something hit me! I turned and nothing was there. Okay...whatever. I keep walking and my dogs are behaving and then I see the stupid evil killer phantom dogs on the side of my screen and they start attacking me!!!!!! Luckily my OWN dogs are actually loyal to me so they attacked the evil killer phantom dogs, but they weren't enough and I died anyways-loosing my Magpies again :(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(:(

So I come online wondering why the hack this is happening, and now I'm here hoping you have enough to patience to read and answer this.
