You place stone brick stairs down facing 4 different directions and when you break them depending on which way there facing you get mossy cracked stone

This is a bug, and that was already fixed. Stairs would break down into stairs when mined.
thanks for the suggestions, I guess if worse comes to worse I could always switch it to creaticve mode, but really wanted to try and keep everything originally crafted
I don't know if it was a bug, nor if it's been fixed, but in 360, if your stone brick was on grass (you might try different biome types of grass) when you broke it you might get mossy or cracked stone bricks

That was a bug, and as stated farther up, it was fixed. Now you get stairs back from breaking stairs.
Now the only way is to find a stronghold. There is no crafting mossy stone or cracked stone, OP.

It's something that i know worked in the PC up to fairly recently, but i'm not sure if it works in the 360 since our redstone acts a bit differently.
I have yet to get mine to work... something about the water changed that... I can't get any new small ones to work for that purpose. Mostly on that one you presented I have a conveyer one which rotates blocks. Unfortunately the conveyer part does not work anymore. The sticky piston has trouble going up through the water. Only way to test which one will work if they do is to make in creative and whirl away...lol
Would be nice, as dark wood is something I really wanted to convert 1 by 1 with oak...><
have not tried that one. hmm... guess I'll have to have a look... always worth a try...:D

As was stated earlier, the only way to get these blocks is by finding a Stronghold and mining them, which is a pretty long process. If you want some help in finding a Stronghold, send me a message and I'll join you in your hunt until one is located.
I have a huge structure that has a lot of Stone Brick in it. the other day I went through there and one of my stone brick had changed to Mossy stone brick. Now I know that I did not place that there because I had never had any Mossy stone brick before that. A week or so later I came through again and there was two that had changed in about the same area. Now It has been a couple weeks and I have not seen it again but I am wondering what happened. this happened 3 weeks ago. Can anyone tell me what might have caused this?
Yes, there is a way to change a single stone brick into either mossy or cracked. Just look up the machine.. keep in mind the piston faces must face north.. It's slow as it is one block at a time deal, but also you can change wool colors and wood colors..
If you'd like i can show you tonight... My gt is on file here, and I'm off at 8 central.
But yes, you're better off dismantling a stronghold and use the machine to maybe get a couple here and there..
