My breeding area is completely fenced in -- nothing can get in or out. And my house is like 30 blocks from the breeding area. I go there and sleep, and when I come back, half my animals are missing.
Wtf? If the developers purposefully left animal persistence out of this update, but included breeding, they get my award for stupidest developers of the year.

On a side note, personally, I think breeding is a bit useless at the moment anyway. With the amount of passive mobs spawning, especially in swamp biomes, you can get all the food/wool etc you need within 30 minutes of play. I started a survival world, and within an hour I had 30+ pork/beef/leather/wool, not many chickens though. Breeding is too slow when it does work, as it takes ages for the babies to grow up. Pointless at the moment.
I have no issues with animals disappearing I guess But I have so many from successful breeding I can't tell if the animals hanging out right outside the fences were spawned in or made it out the fence... I believe animals are clipping thru the fences seeing as I had designated areas for each kind of animal and I find other types in their non designated fencing... But again Not sure if they spawned inside... Though! I do believe they are simply clipping out of the fences due to the fact I have a pink sheep penned it with cows to purposely keep track of it and then about 3-4 days of play he was right outside the fence.. With some wheat got him back in but basically confirms they are clipping out of the double high fence... at least in my experience.

Some people say that they become 'invisible', rather than escape. Either way, it doesn't work properly at the moment. I have noticed though that they only vanish if you move a certain distance from them. Possibly due to the fact that mobs 'freeze' when you're 32 (I think) blocks away from them. It'll get sorted soon, I hope.
That's not very nice, just cause you've experienced a bug. . . . the same as many people. MC is a 'game in progress', you got it for 1600 MS points. Were you expecting a bug/glitch free game? If so, they have many of them stocked in HMV or GAME.

Animals no longer despawn which makes it possible to capture them.
It's a bug... Or maybe they dislike your negative comment towards 4J Studios.
