I am looking for my nether fortress so I can kill some blaze and get some blaze rods but I can't find the nether fortress. The only way to get blaze rods is from a blaze in a nether fortress? Is there any specific place the fortresses are? It's stupid that blazes only come from fortresses that are very rare. Any suggestions?

The only other option beyond that is to wait for the patch, which I am unsure when it will come around. Hopefully soon, as it is tough to see all the maps I like or wanted to build on don't have one...:D

I can't find Blazes in my fortress. I'll end up pulling my hair out if I have to start a new world when MC is patched. You have no idea how many times I have reset my worlds... Or maby you do, considering we are all in the same boat.

I have yet to find a fortress on any world that I myself generated...O_o So I am further down the line than anyone whom has found a fortress.. I have checked out what other people have posted, but the overworld map of each is not to my liking... So I am very fickle?! I guess that is the world, maybe picky is more like it. Anyway I just want specific things and not too much of certain things. To get that balance is hard enough, than to worry about having a fortress or not. But no matter I don't ever end up with any...:(

That is the reason I'll be on other maps till the patch comes through.

I keep starting maps looking for a decent one, but can't seem to find one. . . and the amount of pigs, sheep and cows is bugging me now!

Not too fussed about thew Netherfort things yet. . . . I like to get my overworld stocked and built first.

When you are playing on a map created before TU7 it won't have a Nether Fortress at all, and when you start a new TU7 world, most of the time the Nether Fortress isn't created (my experience) or it's broken/incomplete, meaning: no Nether Farm and/or Blaze Spawner(s)...

There are 2 options:

Create a new TU7 world in create mode and check it out if it has everything, then restart the world using it's seed in survival mode
Use a seed from this 'TU7 seeds'-thread here: http://www.minecraft...bla-seeds-list/

Well most of the time yes. I have a seed that has an almost complete Nether fortress no breaks off of it. And it has blazes Pllus it seems I might have a strong hold. Just made it today xD.

With the bug fix update that is coming in january, all worlds created after this update will have a nether fortress and an end portal.

Ah, in that case i won't get too attached to my current world. Looks like I'll be working in Creative til January! I really do hope they give us a way to make our old worlds useful again sometime down the road!
