I can't play for more than 5 minutes at a time without blocks I'm mining reappearing. I have to leave the game and start it again. Anyone have this problem happen this often?
Update: now my tools are starting to reappear after breaking and my doors are split. The split doors bug seems to be a more common bug however. I also included a video link in case anyone thinks I' m going crazy!

Update 2 : I found out if you left trigger the reappeared blocks they'll go away for good. I guess this will have to work until a real patch arrives
Happens in single player. I tried clearing the hdd cache but that didn't do anything. My old world also does it but not as frequently. This one that I'm having problems with was created before the most recent update
Just started doing this to me too this morning. Very annoying and doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason, one block will reappear, and the one right next to it will break like normal. Water won't disappear for me either.
Woah Its Haunted! But no, mine isn't as bad, it happened alot more today than ususal. Mine will break and then reappear and disappear. I play offline singleplayer.... I had my Minecraft installed on a USB drive, and after I moved it to the Xbox it stopped doing it... Not alot of people bought the 4gig I did and moving the game to the system seems to have helped my issues, but yeah ..... that tree is haunted,
On a diff note that's the reason I had to start a new map when the 1.8.2 update hit. In my 1.7 map where there were heavily built upon areas that reappearing block deal was happening all the time. I figured it was an "old map" issue so I moved on from that world. But it's happening again on my brand new TU7 world. Again though moving the file to the system seems to have stopped it ..... for now.

Check it out for awesome tutorials and constant content!
Same here and it became even worse the last two days. In my case the problem now starts immediately after I load my map, so it's not possible for me to mine anything at all. Of course I now stopped playing this and may try again after the next patch.
The problem appears in online and offline mode and the map I use was created with TU7. So for me it's really a bad release, but I also realize, that only few seem to have this problem.
Same happened to my new survival map...After many hours of work of course! I had to make a new world...About to take a break from this game as well!
Never had the door thing. Actually looks quite good. My gran used to have a door that did that. Like an old barn style door. Can mobs walk through it when it is like that?
i just started having this same issue tonight. except when the blocks reappear, they don't disappear again. and it was happening with grass and snow and any blocks that i placed. i tried restarting the game, the xbox, and deleting the game and re-downloading it but none of those worked. i do have it stored on a flash drive, so i'll try moving it to system memory....
nope, it's still doing it. >
interestingly, it only seems to be happening on the map i started after TU7. my older maps are behaving as normal... started a new one as a test, and it seems fine.
so i guess it's just that one? maybe there's some corruption in the save data? idk. kinda sucks anyway, i liked that seed.
and it makes me nervous to start anything new because what if i put hours into something that later becomes unusable? hmm.. i will be interested to find out what may have caused this.

Now that I have heard of.... The Stubborn blocks as I put it... And also that is what looks like the OP is on about as well. I actually figured a work around that works for me although it is a bit more tedious due to that fact, but less than the alternative. I have this happening only on my "new" tutorial map. I just think it is a slight error in coding somewhere that causes the eventual update of blocks to not stick graphically. but since the game doesn't know any better it treats it solid
The work around I found for myself at least, is to use melon or any non-playcable item on the stubborn block... just try to place the melon slice on the stubborn block while it is selected. I hope i explained that well.
The is a problem with the update and render engine miscommunicating to the screen. It is like I said a block update bug, it is not lag, and it is only in this TU7. The one that was in 1.8.2 is totally different thing and is pretty much just lag. The way to tell the difference is that the blocks don't disappear, that is the TU7 block update bug. The 1.8.2 one the blocks eventually disappear, hence the difference. So in a way this is a new bug. I have trialed and errored the behavior, and is the reason I know about this work around. I know it should work even if it is an extra step in the process of mining, and in some cases making things a bit more tedious, but what can you do.

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I have never had this issue, if It happens in offline mode, you may be low on memory, try deleting useless worlds and other useless data and see if that helps, but I honestly have no Idea why this would happen in offline mode, but if it's in online, it is probably lag.

This only started happening after the new update. I have 275/320GB of storage remaining, it happens offline as well as online. People that keep suggesting that it has something to do with the user need to stop. It's obviously a bug that came with the update.
i think people are saying it's because of memory/xbox/online lag because i'm FAIRLY SURE (not 100%) that i saw 4jsteve give those as reasons very early on after the update. i'm sure he genuinely thought those were the causes in the beginning, but i feel like that's why people keep going to those reasons.
anyway! i'm sure they know it's actually a glitch by now and are working on it for the upcoming fix. it's been happening to me, but pretty rarely and has never caused me to not be able to re-mine the blocks.

I'd say just hope the bug fix is soon....

I can't remember what the D-Bags' name was, but I think this thread is proof enough that neither of those is the case.
