THe sheep not growing whole is an issue that the minecraft editors of XBox 360 are trying to fix, they grow back on the PC version but not on the XBox I suggest getting 2 sheep and breeding the child they made will grow up and have whole and keep cycling like that.

It's *wool. I've had the same issue, but hopefully they will change this In the following update.
