Clever idea for a topic. Letting people vent about TU7, encouraging people to act ungrateful about it. There will be people to post here, and I will unintentionally look down upon them because of the amount of frivolous audacity their posts will obtain. Not to sound like Jesus or anything, but I find nothing wrong with the update, and I think it was a reasonable add-on to the MC360 edition.
WAAYY too many ghasts spawning in the Nether... I'm not even gonna bother with it until TU8
I haven't been to the nether since the patch (Happy wars and borderlands is addicting @[email protected]) but I've found in any large open areas in the nether I would have 4 or 5 ghasts chasing me after a while. They simply have a range of detection that is waaaaay (IMO) too far. so any ghasts you can see CAN see you and they will chase you.
My only problems with it is that there is no guaranteed Nether Fortress spawn, and sheep can't eat grass to regrow their wool yet. That's it, and those reasons are really trivial. The update is great, and I've been playing it everyday since Wednesday.
I'll be busy fighting like 2 at once and then I'll have another one sneak up behind me. And then to seek shelter I tunnel into the Netherrack. Well, apparently they can also nail a fireball right in there and hit me anyway... Grrr.... But anyway after the 3rd ghast I give up counting and start wishing I hadn't gone
Yeah that's happened to me before the update. Ghasts can be a real pain in the ass, and killing them can be hard depending on how they are attacking you. The best thing I've found to do is to find somewhere to hide that forces the ghasts to get close to get LOS, then using a bow shoot them and their fireballs. When they're close they're pretty slow and easy to kill.

I'm fine taking them out with arrows, it's after I run out of arrows that's the problem. I also hate the fireballs themselves, they're kinda hard to hit and half the time even when you do hit them, they'll explode anyway. And it's a 1 in a million chance to hit it back at the ghast (or at least for me it seems)
I love & hate this game. I love that its progressively reaching towards equal status of the pc version, and all that there is to do in it, but I hate that each and every time it’s updated it introduces numerous bugs and almost always demands creating a new world in order to alleviate many of them. I spent dozens, if not hundreds of hours on the pc version, and in the earlier xbox versions as well, but now I’ve “shelved” this game - so to speak. Simply because whatever I build, whatever I create, and whatever I do in it. It’s going to be rendered useless, or bugged, or out of range, as soon as another update is released. I’ll come back, and play this game heavily but not until it’s finished. I'm done starting over on a game I've owned for 8 months.
The only thing I'm disappointed in, is this thread even being started, The gang at 4J would have busted their arses trying to get this update out for Christmas and I'm sure they will have the fix out within a month or so.for most of the bugs.
Great update. I'm not dissapointed at all with this update. Even though some worlds don't have fortresses it doesn't bother me. I don't even dislike starting a new world. A new world is like a burst of fresh air and I love it.
I have no complaints really. I haven't found a stronghold before this update, so the first thing I did was load up creative and snag a bunch of eyes. I then zeroed in on my stronghold...looked at it...and filled it, in its entirety, with TNT. I blasted the thing into oblivion. There is now a supermassive hole where it once was. A standing, eternal, reminder of what happens when I'm forced to take the hard road in achieving something. I handled my hatred of WoW's hyenas in the barrens in much the same way...came back at level cap and laid complete waste to the zone's hyena population.
I hope, for its sake, that the nether fortress is an easy find.
Breeding is absolutely pointless because the animals despawn anyway once you move far away. Sometimes the animals don't even breed at all. That's my only frustration with this update. People have been waiting since May for breeding and to find out that it doesn't work is just frustrating.
How can I be disappointed yet when the patch for it is not out yet...O_o?
I actually liked the update. Sure some things are not completely functional, but they brought in breeding and enchanting, which is what mostly I was hoping for. That is something for my old world to experience, which is what I have been mainly working on. I already have a sheep farm awaiting for when they regrow wool. Soon I'll have the others build once I figure out where I want to place them.:D
brewing is something I wouldn't have minded for my survival maps, but also on that note I can patiently wait for the patch for that to happen, as I wouldn't have to worry till then.

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

Lack of netherwarts. I have a very large fortress with 2 blaze spawners, but have been unable to find a single netherwart.
Every single fortress has nether wart. Just like any crop, even just getting one can make infinite if used right. Reminder, at this point in time, it'll only grow in the nether. Just a heads up.
Dont disagree with the post... We can praised Mojang for a good job but we cant criticized them when they dont? The only thing that disappoints me is how bad of a job they did when it came to the Nether Fortresses and/or Nether Warts not appearing in worlds.. The good thing is that Mojang knows about it now and they will be patching it.. Hopefully..

How many are you seeing on average?

Love 4J, they ROCK!

Well said. I feel exactly the same way.
