My boyfriend and I are playing Minecraft - we love the new update. We finally found a stronghold and located the end portal frame. We've been trying for the last hour to place the eye of ender inside of the frame pieces to activate the gate but it's not working. We have no clue what we're doing wrong.

We switched to creative mode and it was the same thing. We can throw them and everything, but when we try to place them in nothing happens..it just kind of moves our arm y'know?

Hopefully it's just a minimal user error on our part, or maybe there's some type of glitch? I know there's one with Blazes spawning in the nether..hoping for an update soon.

There Is no end portal in this update & you should look around for that question because its been asked a lot recently

its probobly just a glitch,hope you fix it,had a similar error once...

They have the end portal, but in this update they left out the end. We'll be getting it in 1.2 it's not a glitch that's how it's intended to be.

There is an End Portal it just does nothing at the moment. The next update will allow you to enter The End so start saving your eye of ender

Thanks for the help. Hope we get an update with the end soon - pretty pointless to have strongholds in the last update and now ender eyes etc. for really no reason.

Btw no need to be rude I asked a simple question - I've been looking around quite a bit before I asked this.

That was actually really smart on their end.
When the next update comes, people who created a world in this version won't have to create yet another world in order to go to The End.
