Ive sheered tons of sheep that I've caught and am awaiting for the sheep to grow back wool....I've waited fo r2 full days (Not minecraft days) does anyone know how/when they will grow back wool??
I am curious about this also. It was would be extremely nice if they did eventually grow their wool back. I have a feeling that they don't grow the wool back yet though... =/
I'm pretty sure the sheep do not regrow wool yet. I think the next update may cover that? For now I shear the sheep and kill them. It kind of makes breeding sheep feel a bit pointless in the meantime.

Not sure how, I think it's quite the contrary. Since they don't grow back your only bet IS to breed.
I've got a large pen with 2 of every color sheep in their own smaller pen. I always keep atleast 2 in each pen and breed and shear/kill to harvest colored wool.
Today I've shorn about two dozen sheep spread over a large island, then went into a cave system. When coming back up, all the sheep had regrown their wool. Either that, or they despawned and new sheep spawned instead. I really can't tell.

Is it a chicken or is it a duck? - It's a chuck, because dicken sounds stupid.
Yeah they don't grow their wool back yet. Pen them up, breed them, then kill them after you shear them. Hope you don't mind incest.

I see what you are saying but I'm not lacking for sheep in my world so the shear & kill strategy is simply easier then bothering with pens and breeding. When I kill them they seem to re-spawn at a decent rate. My ultimate goal is to have separate pens for each color of wool.
I'm not too sure what the problem is with sheep but all of mine have been fine, I will sheer the sheep then go down and mine for a bit, as soon as I come back up the wool is back again. I'm not too sure if that's because it's new sheep or the wool has grown back.
I think if they eat some grass or something they grow wool back.If you have a sheep pen, it starts all grass and you notice it's bare dirt after you shear them I think they eat the grass.Maybe that's only in PC.

Yes, this isn't in the XBE yet. Eventually this will be the case. As for the people mining and coming back to wooly sheep, those are undoubtedly not the same animals.
