So I went onto my friends world, and I noticed it generated pretty weird. I thought maybe my chunks haden't loaded but it turns out the world actually generated like this. Has anyone else seen this before? He won't give me the seed cause he's a butthole, but take a look at this anyway.
As far as I know this is not breaking any rules. I just am curious to know if anyone has ever had a world generate like this? It's only the spawn area too, the rest of the map is just fine.
Its because the world was loaded before the or a update and left, leaving only the spawn area loaded. Then after the update they went back on it and it loaded the rest of it in a different way. Most likely because of a new biome.

It wasn't. The friend who made this world hates minecraft and basically just got into it after this update. I can assure you 100% this was a newly generated world.

That is weird. Anything else I can think of is what is said above.
Chunk Errors.
If you know him in real life, go to his house wait till he's sleeping and write down the seed.
Funny how chunk errors is the one reason I haven't played much on the pc... all because it was more than that a seed error where it seem to load like a normal map... wrote down the seed and well the map did not generate that way when I re-entered the seed... This was the same version... So it was a seed error... I don't think the game even knew what seed it was really... which is unfortunately... Not often you find a V shape ravine in a swamp/forest mix... it was a very deep one too... oh well...
At least the xbox edition is more stable... I kinda like the old world new world mess together... unsure what to think of the op pics... even if they are errors or not... I can kinda guess how they formed but... wouldn't want that water hole look as we get enough of those laying around all over the place normally...><
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
Yeah I know, but Genkipool, there are some weird people these days that might take time to do that :3
Maybe your right looking back now it seems like way less ores in the walls than you'd expect so maybe it was some really bored guy that wan't to screw with PoeticWhisper.
The only thing similar to this that i've seen is on servers, it seems that every other one i join has just a random spot where the land just STOPS and then its nothing but ocean for a long time. No matter which direction i traveled in, it would always be like that eventually. It kinda annoys me.

Trust me when I say. He would never waste time doing that. He has never played minecraft ever and I talk to him every single day.
This my world and I would like to assure all of you I did no modifications to this. Ive played this game maybe a hand full of times so I guarantee you that I wouldn't waste my time. If you all would like the see number then here it is

Happy holidays to everyone and I hope it works for you guys.
I've seen some random stuff like this (not as extreme) before in even newly created worlds, where mountains would be split in half (usually when it hit the edge of a different biome and they clashed). If it is legit, that would be very simple to find ores in mines

Ok men hes asleep now GRAB IT AND RUN!!!!!!!!
But, seriously I've never encountered anything like this before and chunk errors don't seem to occur on Xbox.
Lol
Other than Chunk Errors all I know your friend got on while you weren't and made it look like that to mess with you.
Might explain why he won't give you the seed?

I don't think so look at the water its at the same level ignoring the land completely even if he used creative that would take a long time.
