Yesterday I began to make a new house and suddenly every block I mined, returned. It didn't matter how often I mined it, it would return. I left that world (the Tutorial) and returned today to find the same problem.
I am playing in the new updated tutorial world... does anyone have any Ideas on how to help/fix?
By the way...LOVE this game. I play it with my boys all the time...some say I may have a little addiction
I just wanted to add that not just dirt, cobblestone and stone regenerate, anything I put down or mine gets regenerated. So if I put down a torch and take it back..POP..another torch pops back up on the wall. Same with chests. My bed gets put down and then half the bed disappears so it is only 1 red block.
Yeah, this sounds like a bug of sorts, I'd try starting a seed of your own, and not the tutorial world. Perhaps that might fix it, also try doing it in offline mode (even if you were alone, online may give a few bugs if it's optional for others to join you.)
this has been happening to me as well. mining blocks and them re appearing afterward and also placing blocks then watch them vanish into thin air. i have not tried to play offline but it happens to anyone else in my world as well. a simple fix is to save and quit, then reload the same world and all the blocks that were supposed to be gone but reapeared will be gone like their sposed to be. it also seems to only be in one general area at any given time, weird but it will probably be fixed next update
Playing offline should help a bit. This has happened to me when I play with some of my friends every now and then. Usually a sign that I was about to lag out, but never happened in single player for me personally.
I was getting some brown mushrooms offline and they were coming back. It took me a few tries, but I got them into my inventory. It's only happened to my mushrooms so far, it seems like a pretty general bug.

Well with me I have it where it disappears reappears then breaks again. So a delay/lag of sorts I guess... An example is... if I was to quick place lets say a brick right after I shoveled a dirt block my brick would be placed right above the mined dirt block.. not always but often enough to notice. And made it a pain to turn a grassy ground into brick ground because I had to wait for the block to break all the way... While offline entirely.

Check it out for awesome tutorials and constant content!
..and thank you for all of the replies. Playing offline, so far, has helped. Also, signing out and signing in does remove the blocks that should be gone.
You know how pocket edition has that item "nether core" or something, and it lets you get items from the nether like a dimension rip or portal? Since mcx360 has limited resources it would solve the resource scarcity like with glowstone and other blocks if we had a similiar machine, but if it could give you any block if you power it with coal. Let's say you have a single glowstone left in your world but you have put hundreds of hours into your world so you dont want to restart, you put the block you want to be copied into the machine block and add coal/charcoal, and in the open slot you get another block of whatever you placed in the first slot. The more rare the item the more fuel needed to copy an item, if you want to copy a diamond it should take a lot of charcoal and a few minutes to make one piece but to copy dirt it takes much less. You could go two routes with it and either say it clones blocks, or you can say it takes the blocks from another dimension like the pocket edition nether core device. I knew this wouldn't be seen if I posted it in the request thread because there are many pages to that thread and the post would be lost in the sea of requests haha, please consider the idea it would solve the limited resources issue for people that play the same world for many months.
