After the update has anyone else experienced a decrease in the number of stone blocks an iron pickaxe will mine?

I believe everything has been nerfed to counter balance enchanting.

I couldn't find any evidence of tool nerfing in the wiki's changelog...

I never knew tools got nerfed... I don't have much experience with the iron pickaxe because I only make one when I find diamonds so I can't really answer your question. I can't find evidence on the wiki that tools got nerfed in 1.01. But if it is for the Xbox only, 4J probably did it for balancing because of enchantment.
