Before all of these updates before pistons and such I had a great adventure in the Nether. One day I was board and ventured into the Nether, just exploring and looking around. I was messing in the Nether taunting Ghasts cause they ambushed me but didnt hit me I was like "na na cant touch this ha ha!".
Eventually I thought they had enough so I went up to my cobblestone temple in the Nether housing the portal and the Ghasts were still attacking, one ghast shot a fire ball through the temple opening (I didnt put doors to make it look more epic) and the portal was shut down... I was trapped.
I ran out the portal tample looking for anything to help me open the portal knowing that the chance was very slim because I had no flint-&-steel. After wondering around in the nether 3 Ghasts have been following me around attacking me and soon enough I died. When I respawned I knew I had to take revenge!
Gathering my gear I crafted a bow and made many arrows (thanks to the old dup glitch which is not needed anymore) and as soon I put on my diamond armor... it was go time! (I only put on a diamond chestpiece and helmet). As I stepped into the portal ready and having flint-&-steel in my bar just incase, I was met with my first challange to the right of my portal temple. The portal temple was over a cliff hanging above the lava sea and to the right of it was a T pillar of Nether rack from when I used it as a staircase to the portal.
There was a Ghast flying near the temple and I had to get closer to get my first kill of 3. I jumped onto the T and started firing away dodgeing the flames! Eventually the monster fell and I was off looking for my next kill without a scratch.
The next monster I had to travel around the nether for quite some time. I eventually found the next Ghast to attack but it was high near the roof of the Nether. I climbed and mined a tad to reach the top, I was on another cliff very high above the lava sea yet again, only 1 block of Netherrack was between me and certain death.
I began to blast arrows and the Ghast kept returning fire by blasting holes in the ground to which I had to avoid or I would fail my mission for vengance. Evadeing falling and fire I struck the Ghast down. With some scratches I was low on health cause it hit me a few times, I killed some pigmen and lost some armor durability but it was worth it for hearts and bacon. Kill count 2.
The last Ghast was near the temple on a rigid plain like area near a lava fall. There was no danger of falling or lava, just the last ghast I needed to kill. It spotted me before I could attack, careful in my aim I hit it multiple time yet missed alot too. I battled the ghast for a tad but when I killed the monster I felt accomplished watching it fall. I killed the 3 of the monsters as for revenge for killing me in the Nether earlier. I went back to the overworld and the portal was not blown so the flint-&-steel was not needed. When I came back to the overworld it was night and no monsters were about (the area was well lit), everything was silent and it was a pretty rad adventure. No friends were on minecraft on xbox live so after the adventure I went on to playing another game yet feeling pretty rad.
Since then I have learned a valuable lesson, NEVER FORGET to bring flint-&-steel to the nether!
What is one adventure you had in minecraft? Did you learn a lesson from it? Was it easy? Tell your tale !

Dah best song everz!!!!!!! YOU KNOW YOU WANT TO CLICK IT! So what are you waiting for? Okay dont click it and be left out on a epic song... yea you dont want that SO CLICK IT!
Minecraft, within the first few hours of play, gave me a feeling that no other game has ever done before or since. Me and my brother in law and my cousin were all underground fighting off the zombie horde when we all got seperated due to a large drop off that they fell down. As I tried finding my way to the surface for supplies I realized that I too was lost. For about 40 minutes they backed into a corner and boxed themselves in, hearing the zombies just outside. I turned a corner and saw water coming through the ceiling of the cave I was in. It was not a river, nor lake, it was rain. Sweet merciful rain. When I crawled from the ruins of the cave I found myself topside. I sighed with relief and found myself spinning in a circle looking at the sky, slowly spinning, thinking to myself "RAIN!!! IT'S RAIN!!!". That feeling of relief to see rain on a block based video game was amazing.
I returned with diamond swords, bows, arrows, and armor for my kinsmen. The battle was long, but at the end of the day, the three of us rose from what we thought would be our grave, victorious, diamonds, redstone, and pride in hand.
lol i had to go there man, minecraft makes me feel like King Leonidas. LOL that story is true though, never felt such a feeling in my life.
