I think it's a common and old problem, but it annoys me to no end. Doors close by themselves then won't let me through, just painful to play.
I believe I saw someone say on the forum that occassionally saving and exiting, then reloading the world can help. Maybe try that? Other than that, I don't think there is anything that can be done.

It happens when offline as well, so it can't be just attributed to internet connection. It is lag though. Just server lag.
