I had a thread earlier in which I needed help building an Xp Farm. Someone told me that using a spawner was the best way, so I decided to go mining. Then... BAM! Two dungeons seperated by a 1 block wide cobblestone wall, was in front of me. One is a skeleton spawner, the other is a zombie spawner. The zombie spawner was 1 block higher than the skeleton. Now, I need help on deciding how to build an Xp farm using these spawners. Any help, because I have no clue?

Man I got a perfect one. I think i made it up.. kinda I guess Im sure someones done it before I just haven't seen it on youtube... But I DON'T have an HD-Pvr. I can take a couple pics and a rough video with the phone, but the concept is simple... Water pushes the mobs into a 1 block deep area that has pistons on bottom and top.. then i hit a lever and it crushes them... since its considered drowning you simply hit them as their being "drowned" by the pistons and it considers them player kills since they die within 5 secs of player striking them.. its awesome. On the big one I have i get about 10+ mobs all at once

I see what you mean. Some pictures and even a crappy video would be nice ^.^
Ill do a better one tonight.. pics wise. I posted this on another reply someone needing something similar.. but im at work so hope this does for now..
If you notice they are submerged so the water pushes them into that opening and there is pistons below them that push them up and pistons above them that officially "drown" them. So you have to hit them while they're "drowning" or it wont count as XP.

I believe you would call it suffocating rather than drowning
I'm guessing I put the water in the corners of the dungeon? I'd like to see some pictures inside the dungeon too. Also, that was extremely helpful
Ill get you some tonight.. I put the water all the way in the back until its a constant flow in general, so it pushes them in one direction, so on the corners and everywhere in between on the back wall.. Glad it helped!

I can record for you.
also i think its best to use just 1 than 2 just make it seperate then make another one on the other room then the drop would be on the same side then punch em both add Ill James Ill i can show u what i mean (big i small L 2x) both sideAlso i think u have to kill em ur slef to get the xp

Cool yeah you can record it tonight.. I use both rooms combined... into one long room you'll see It's pretty sweet! how it works and as long as you hit them within 5 secs of death You'll get the xp. Or he could just not "drown/suffocate" them and get them trapped as those zombies where and just whack them.
I got the water working. Is there anyway to suffocate them without sticky pistons? Because I have no slime balls.
On my design its kinda needed because it pushes blocks so its gotta be able to retract them otherwise normal ones will just leave the blocks where you pushed them. if anything..... plan B. You can make that design.. and as theyre pushed into the "hole" you can whack em to death.. theyre not going anywhere anyways.. theyre being pushed towards you and into that hole anyways.

Everything is working fine, except the low amount of monsters. How far and how close should I stand by the spawners?
Now that is it working, light up the surrounding areas for the double spawners. That way just in case, you only have those mobs from the spawners around you.
But you normally just hang out around the spawner, they will spawn in their own time and build up in your trap setup. Just wait and let them build up then get to killing them.

I figured out how to get more monsters. I built a "waiting area" between both spawners, instead of beside only the skeleton one. Everything is working perfectly now XD

It's pretty much the same thing.
