Does anyone know if animals still respawn in this update or did they take that out due to breeding? I do NOT want to kill off all of the animals especially since I found an amazing seed yesterday.
Also do they despawn? For some reason it looked like a number of animals despawned from my starting area. They may have just moved a distance while I was away.
Do animals need to be in a pen to have offsprings? I dont think they do, but wanted to be sure.
Is this the update where villagers can have kids? I think they can, but not positive. Are there any noticeable consequences for beating them up or killing one of them? Not really planning on doing that, but I did knock one in the head with a shovel while digging dirt. Nothing seemed to happen.
How do you make a blaze rod? This is me just being lazy.
Animals definitely do respawn when killed. It might take a few minutes, though.
Animals normally don't despawn, although I've heard of a bug that some do. Normally animals just wander off because they move around. You have no idea how many sheep, cows, pigs, and chickens I've found far out in the ocean, out of sight of any kind of dry land.
You don't need anything to breed animals except wheat or what seeds.
At the moment, villagers are nothing more than humanoid-looking "animals". They'll behave pretty much exactly like sheep, cows, etc. with the difference that you don't gain anything if you kill them. And while they're supposed to go back into their houses at nightfall, I've yet to witness this behaviour.

umm apparently rotten flesh or raw beef for doggy....
They do go into house when night falls, but not all of them do. It is more like they go into the nearest available house within a certain distance. So if they are good ways away from a house then they probably won't. Mine usually seem to stay in doors mostly...O_o
You can not make a blaze rod, you have to kill a blaze to get them, and those are only found in the nether fortress...

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
Thank you both for your help. I just wanted to make sure I didnt kill all of the animals. I spent hours trying to find a perfect seed for me and I did and it does have a netherfortress so I can get those blaze rods now. Thanks!!!
