I wish they would make all water in the world the same color. The only problem is that I wouldn't know what color swamp water would be. :/ Does anyone else think that the new color of water in swamp biomes look great? It looks more realistic or something. I cant put my finger on it.

I like it how it is all water being the same color just doesn't work in my mind. I do love swamp water though.

I like both... As I have seen a water surface that looked like both of these colors... I actually like the grass color more than the water color though...

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
The entire atmosphere within them looks more realistic, not just the water. Not to mention they look amazing at night with zombies lurking around.
Signed!
And even though some people might disagree, I love the color of grass blocks and vegetation in the swamp. That biome is by far the best-looking in MC360 now (I didn't like it much earlier - too lush and bright).
As for the water, I find the "oil spill" swamp water makes it easier to see the ground and what's there, i.e. clay is easier to distinguish from sand. The only thing I don't like is the transation - or rather the utter lack thereof - from swamp water to regular water. The contrast is just "too hard", for lack of a better term.
It would be truly awesome (and a nice MC360-exclusive feature) if there was a third appearance for water that's not a blue as regular water, and not as dark as swamp water. Then, whenever a swamp water block is adjacent to a regular water block, that swamp water block's appearance is changed to that new appearance.
I agree it looks better, normal water looks too blue and fake, swamp water looks better.
Yes, the water looks fake, but I like it that way. It makes sense with the cartoony 16-bit style that Minecraft has brought back to gaming. Sure the photorealism tilesets look cool, and I'm impressed with all the work somebody put into the graphics, but I would personally never use them. Minecraft just has no place for realism, texture-wise.

That much I definitely have to agree with... well the realism part. I personally like the feel of change in the various biomes and the way they are there, even the leaves that change between the biome types. That kinda stuff fits in, but to try to put a multidimensional color scheme of real life into the game is going a bit too far imo... It is nice some like that on the pc and all, but personally I would rather have that old rpg style of look or just keep this current look...:D

I think it looks awesome too! Waterfalls of swamp water are such a pretty shade of blue :3
^This. I found a ravine on my map with a swamp waterfall, regular waterfall, and lavafall all right next to each other. It looked so amazing that I had to build a house inside that ravine. The seed is "SecretSeed" (without the quotations) for anyone that wants to check it out. There's a massive cave system in the swamp biome.

I agree to a certain extent, but it really depends on what you're building. Most of the time I like the retro cartoony feel, however if I'm doing like some kind of temple or other ancient structure, then the environment around it really makes it pop.
Yuck. I hate the color of the swamp water and the color of the grass and the trees depresses me. I'm currently ooking for a seed without any swamps (but with everything else).

Example:
. = regular water, x = swamp water, # = "transitional" water
Anyone like that idea?

Same here.
Can I get swamp water in a bucket?
