Because the ones that are saying they have not are probably lying. They are trying so desperately hard to defend this update.
nope... some have them and some don't... Me I haven't had any problems with breeding itself... The only problems I have had are related to graphical anomalies that happen with penned in animals. The only thing I defend is that fact I still like the game despite all the bugs that I have and other have.... Anyway I think I'll do a bit of remodeling on my 1.7.3 world...:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
Seriously? 4J was probably told by Microsoft to rush the update as hard as they can and release it before Christmas. I would have gladly accepted a bug free update in January or even March 2013! I have only played minecraft on the PC only for a few minutes because my computer overheats and shuts off. But at least in those several minutes, I didn't experience a glitch every 2 seconds because the update wasn't rushed.
Got to agree with you. I also believe that micro$oft told 4J to release it quicker than usual. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the DLC (That costs money), that came with this update include christmas skins? If so, they wouldn't be able to release it in the new year as no one would use the skins. Micro$oft would then lose out on money. I would have preferred to wait until new year, get a little more bug testing done on it, then release it.
I love MC, think 4J have done a great job (and still are), and am greatful for this recent update. But due to the bugs, I cannot use any of the new features on the update. (Hence why I'm on my PC now and not on MC). Guess I'll have to wait for a bug fix to come out before I can expand my MC experience.
I have too many animals around my house. They are annoying and won't go away. When I kill them more come. My pen is overpopulated too and more keep falling in. There's a hill which animals can fall in my pen from
Dig a few 2x2 holes, 2 blocks deep; place two signs each on the opposite sites, empty a bucket of lava into each hole, problem solved. Alternatively, if you want the stuff the animals drop, dig a 2x2 hole, 4 blocks deep; enlarge the bottom three layers to 4x4, place two cacti diagonally to each other in the center.

A lot of my friends have been having this problem. My solution was to bonemeal the grass where the animals were, and over time the animals will eat it. Since I have done this, none of my animals have died.
I'm sick of people trying to defend this update with their every last breath. This update is very disappointing. Breeding is pointless, I've been waiting so so so so so so looooooooooooooong for this update since May 2012. Can't wait for a new PC so I could actually play something where the game plays properly.

The cows were herding against the fence as if looking for a way through. Every now and then a cow, usually a calf, would glitch and it'd look like it was standing on an invisible block. This only happened it corners of the farm. Is it possible that they managed to jump on top of each other and escape? Cuz, seriously, seeing 15ish cows and 3 pigs dwindle to just 3 cows when surrounded by 2 high fencing is a little goofy. I've seen chickens do it but lets face it, chickens are crafty.
I saw them do just that (glitch out by jumping on each other) in the last update. Not certain if it's the mobs jumping on each other or if its a jumping mob momentarily becoming non-solid and being pushed out by the one behind.
I am sorry if my game has not froze, I am sorry if my animals in my pen are not dissapearing, I am sorry if I am yet to experience any bugs with this new update.

I mean dang, if these people aren't complaining about the updates taking to long to be released, they start complaining that theres bugs and was rushed, what the h-e- dbl hockey stick is everyones issue? either you stop complaining and be happy it took so long to be released with no bugs OR be happy we got it this quick and be stand up people, stop complaining and post the bugs in the TU7 issue thread so that 4j can get them taking care of for the fix patch. because 4j are just that cool and will fix those bugs to make for a better experience for all those stand up people willing to take the time to post the bugs in the proper thread as well as all the ones who just post complaining about whats wrong, instead of just being greatful for those updates (dang we're even lucky to get MC on 360). just saying, instead of whinning and complaining, be greatful and move on. help post the bugs in the proper thread so we can get them fixed asap.
It's the Holidays, Cheer Up, have some EggNog, a Candy Cane, and Play some Minecraft. And most of all for them believers, be greatful......after all it is 12-21-2012 and just as cold out today as it was yesterday, well unless your in your bunkers....lol

Just destroy the hill, silly! Or make a roof over part of your pen with fencing on the inside edge!

I'm totally defending it. There's nothing to complain about. If the game is glitching for you, report the glitch and go do something else. I haven't even played Minecraft since the last update (somehow that update made the game boring to me), but when I got an email that this crazy huge awesome update was out, I started up again. It's working perfectly, I'm having fun, and I'm glad it came out before Christmas. If it weren't working properly, I would play Call of Duty or something.

I have had the animals despawn too. I havent fenced any in though. I will say that it doesnt seem to matter too much since I seem to be finding lots and lots of animals. I was a little annoyed when the mooshroom despawned since my mushroom biome isnt too big and its probably going to take awhile for another to spawn there like that one did.
I will say though that people should just put this in the bug section and leave it at that. Everytime an update is released there are lots of bugs. I remember when 1.8.2 came out and there were almost no animals. Then about a month later a bug fix update came out and I had animals. I think its just gonna keep being, update, bug fix for update, update, bug fix for update, update, bug fix for update, etc, lol!

Some people just haven't been plagued with these "bugs". I'm thinking the problem may also have something to do with the passive mob cap. That's just a guess, since people are having different outcomes with this issue. It's hard to tell since no one likes to post screenshots or at least give a detailed description of their animals' pens.
Also, the PC version had even more bugs (from what I've heard) during these past updates. On top of that, they're releasing updates which implement completely new features, which introduce even more bugs never seen before. It's ignorant to imagine a game like Minecraft ever being 100% bug-free, (until they cease the updates, maybe not even then) but MCXBLA seems to be more stable than the other editions. If you want that picture perfect experience, you're simply playing the wrong game, switching platforms won't help you much.
Agree also, but I still think that 4J were made to release this update sooner than it should have been so that Micro$oft could make some money on the DLC.
I would have been happy waiting another month or two for this update, as long as I could breed. . . . in the game that is, not that I have a problem.
As I've mentioned. I think MC is great, and love it on XB, but sometimes I do think things get too rushed.

The Update didn't cost anything, so Microsoft wouldn't want it out because of money.
And the skin Pack was going to come out then anyway and there is nothing wrong with it.
It still makes them money, though indirectly. Title updates generate more interest in the game. This interest leads players into buying the game. They purchase aforementioned game from 4J Studios, and Microsoft takes a cut.
I think it was 4J's decision to rush the update. Society has became impatient by nature. Even though they don't understand the work behind a service, it is always too slow. People start getting antsy when it takes 5 minutes to get their burgers at McDonald's, ffs. I think 4J rushed the update so they wouldn't stir up another tidal wave of tweets and threads about how much they suck. They'll be releasing a patch for bugfixes anyway, so it really doesn't matter too much.
