So crafting is simplified for Xbox, enchantment is easy/random... why not the brewing stand? I get the formulas thanks to the chart on the wiki, but why not just make it as simple as crafting.
Again I get it now and know how to use it, just seems like it would be alot easier to tell you what you need and just make it, even if it does take forever to finish "brewing" but.. I don't know just a thought.
Agree? or am I just being lazy?

I like the fact we have somethings to find out. Wheres the fun in making everything easy.. The adventure in survival mode that I now have to gather items for brewing and enchanting is wonderful. At the same time we will have to protect those rare resources that are in the world..
The brewing stand is purty simple as is. I like the fact that it gives players a chance to experiment rather than just selecting what potion they want.
I never played the PC version much. I was hoping it would be "pick the potion you want" and then it would make it if you had the proper ingredients.
The furnace is all like "put it in and watch it burn". It doesn't get more complicated than 1-to-1 conversions.
That is like saying the enchanting is pick what enchantment you want...O_o
Technically you can roughly get the enchants that you want easily with time and patience... Brewing well... I do like how it is... If I need to know a recipe, that is what wiki is for..

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.

I also do not know anything about enchanting. lol.
I do not want to have to go and look up things while I am playing a video game. On the PC it's fine, as you are on a PC anyways, and therefore have the internet in another tab. I would have to get up, move to another room, hope nobody was on the computer, and then look up the recipes, write them down or memorize them, and then go back to my xbox, only to find that I didn't protect myself on minecraft and died. lol.

I need to give out more reputation. I'm not used to the system, but I see so many helpful posts. D: Sorry if I forget you!
You kids need to quit whining and making video games easy, I wish the crafting was like the pc. Games aren't fun when they hold your hand. They should make hard mode crafting like the pc, I hope they keep brewing how it is now.
I would like crafting to have been like the PC, so I'm totally happy with breeding the way it is, especially if I don't look at the wiki. It gives me a chance to experiment.

making video games harder and making them more annoying should not be the same thing.

I guess clicking an extra couple of buttons makes some of you feel like the game is "harder"? I thought the real struggle is in collecting the items, not the order in which you enter them into an interface that presents an end product.
I guess what you call "hard" I call inconvenient is all.

Agree here. sucks to get up from my xbox just to see some ones on the computer and I have to check it later and this causes me to not be able to make the things I want, wasteing my rescources trying to get the right thing. so it would be nice to be able to just know what your crafting. So those of you who like the inconvenience can just drag it up to the box and place it if its hard. Sorry guys if your offended by this but this is what I get from what I'm reading.
Actually it is harder when you have to figure out what the recipes are without it telling you, smartass. A lot of people like the discovery of trying things until you figure things out, I don't see how you think it is fun just looking on the internet for recipes, brewing should remain as it is.

So what would you suggest people do? Not look it up and start putting in random things.. then pulling out their handy dandy note books and writing the results down, like they're some kind of scientific genius that just came up with some magical potion for the first time...? Should we also exclaim EUREKA! upon our discovery?

So you personally find it more enjoyable to find out all the potions on your own, instead of having the exhaustive list in front of you. I, personally, and others find it more enjoyable if we don't have to do that.
Why not add a latch to chests that you have to do a minigame to open? It could be one of those fancy old chests with a lock on it, but you don't know the combination. That'd be harder, right? Or how about giving us a realistic backpack that you can't have stacks of 64 things, but only a limited area in side? that would also make it more challenging. And man do some backpacks have straps. we could put a minigame here as well, trying to fumble with the straps.
Do you get my point?

Am I the only one who's going to do that now? I mean, I want to try new things, and discover what works and what doesn't I still remember playing minecraft on pc and trying to put ice or stone in rather than cobble to make a cooler pickaxe :')
It took me 20 minutes to teach my little brother how to brew potions. At the start of it all he thought you have to be an actual scientist to figure it out.
