With yesterday's update, I decided to start a new world in creative and have a mess around.
To cut the story short, whilst flying around in the Nether found a Nether Fortress but I lost my original portal. So I created a new portal next to the Fortress and was transported back into a Stronghold!
I've kept the world in my saved games, not I intended too, so I can get the seed and co-ords if anyone wants them.
