First thing I did last night was find a village so that I could check out the new townsfolk. Granted I realize they don't exactly do a whole lot, but that's fine with me because I've really wanted to play Minecraft Sim City style for a long time now. I felt elated to at last be able to do just that.
I added a few new houses (after reading the Wiki page regarding villagers and understanding how doors affect population) and noticed a distinct lack of children running around. So the question is, will the population actually increase with this new patch as I add houses? From what I can *tell*, it's not really doing anything. But maybe I'm just really missing something here. =/ That's what I hope anyway, 'cause if I end up having to wait for another update for the kids I'm gonna be a sad panda.
And hey, while I'm annoying you fine folks... Has anyone tried using a mine cart to relocate a villager on the 360 yet to see if it works?
Well using Super Flat and Creative mode, I was able to built a railway from a village to a set of houses I made and transplant two villagers successfully... Still doesn't seem to be any reproducing going on, however. I guess maybe it's not in the update.

Edit: Unless I'm doing something terribly wrong.
