I have noticed that Nether Fortresses have not been spawning. I have generated 4 new worlds, and none of them have a Nether Fortress. Is this problem affecting anyone else? Please fix this 4J, nether fortresses are a big part of the game!

What do you mean by "really far"? Ive check the whole nether. Did you perhaps think i was talking about PC version?

Alot of people seem to be having this problem. And yes, i check the "whole" nether. That is, except the netherrack, which i'd assume it wouldnt spawn in.

You know, i would normally agree with you, but after searching for about an hour i finally found one deep in the netherack with only 1 possible place to see it and it was a small cave. They do in fact spawn inside the netherack and sometimes are not visible at all.

I used X-Ray and searched for about 45 minutes on 4 different worlds and never found one.

The first world I spawned had one, but was mostly ocean so I started a new world.

Started about 6 worlds in creative to check the Nether, and couldn't find one to save my life. Even tried blowing up some Netherrack mountains in case it was embedded in them, but no luck. /:

I've noticed quite a few others with this problem as well, just keep spawning worlds and you'll get one eventually.

I have made a few maps that have nether fortresses, but NO BLAZES!! What the heck gives here. I checked the entire fortress but nothing. I finally made a new map in creative to make sure I had Blazes and there they were.

No, I wasn't on peaceful.

This happened on my first 2 maps after 1.0.1 update. Now I seem to have no problem (well except too many Blazes, damn they're a pain).

You can always throw an eye of ender and see where it goes

That's for strongholds. My very first map I made when I went to the nether I spawned in the fortress, and it takes up atleast 1/2 my nether
