I have a world I like made with the last update. My question is if I re-create it in the new update will it be the same as before only with the new features added?
If so I wouldn't mind doing it because I have not done extensive mining of the world. Mostly just setting up my house and surrounding area.
I did this earlier - if you duplicate the seed then the terrain will be the same, but your automatically generated villages, strongholds and abandoned mineshafts will be laid out differently.
This is what I was afraid. The reason I like the map is because it has a village sitting next to a ravine. Oh well I will give it a try anyway I guess and just name it different to see how it comes out.
I re used my seed and well the world was sorta the same but still different. For one a desert in the North East has pretty much sank into the ocean (The space where it was is now replaced by a sea) In the south an entire world upheaval has blocked access to a Stronghold (Have no clue if it's still there or not as the ocean entrance is now gone)

Any ideas? Thanks.
