Thought we could start a new seeds thread since world generations changed again
seed 69 it has a lot of arctic a bit of extreme hills nice ocean some taigia
a weird half village in a desert and a small forest island
and best of all several mushroom islands
I tried to post a screen of the map but it seems to ignore my map for some reason ?
any ideas whats up with that ?
It has a massive cave system in the bottom right corner of the map. Go to the swamp, and look for the spot that looks like swiss cheese. Just watch where you step because the holes almost go down to bedrock. There's also a huge ravine not too far away with an abandoned mineshaft in it.
I've noticed that in retail launch alot of the seeds matched the pc retail version (to an extent), like gargamel for instance.
Does this mean that we can match patch updates and perhaps pull seeds that matched the pc release of this version?
I'm trying to find an all biome map and haven't had much luck, caves etc dont really matter at this point but they would be nice. I'm guessing that I could go into creative and hunt for one, copy the seed and create it in survival mode... any pointers would be appreciated.
Also correct me please if I'm wrong but old seeds wont update with new blocks, etc. Only the enchanting etc right?

Items in-hand have never shown up in MCXBLA screenshots. This is an intended feature, though I think it should be optional since we now have the ability to remove sight of the hand.

Some seeds match up with the pc some don't I think it has a lot to do with limited world sizes
and do you mean old seeds IE. gargamel or glacier ? (that is to say well known seeds from older versions)
or old maps ?
if you already have an old map no new blocks will spawn
however were you to enter one of those old seeds or the seed of one of your old maps the world generated
will becompletely different from the previous times that seed was used. and will have the new blocks and biomes etc. (potentially unless u get one of these ocean seeds everyones getting
(hopefully that made sense)
