At first I was really excited by it, but after it sort of messed up my biomes, and I've yet to see a Nether Fortress, I've been a bit dissapointed.
However, I like a lot of the new building blocks. Nether Brick Fences or Nether Fences, whatever they are are a wonderful addition. I only wish they had slabs and stairs you could place upside down.
I'm really happy about it, 4J is awesome, and they are doing a very good job with our updates.
But I'm not sure if I should create a new world or not, because some of the new features will not spawn in my old world (mushroom biome, nether fortress, etc).
My only 'messup' was when I was exploring the rest of my world.
In the middle of a flat land, there was a large hill cut perfectly in half (Or I assume so), but I'm pretty sure that happens with most updates. I'm more annoyed with having to start a new world for the nether foretress, I loved my seed...
I actually enjoy the update... although sheep do not eat grass... which is disheartening. That is the only way they regrow their wool. Which means you would have to continuously breed more in order to get more wool that way. If not killing off the sheep after shearing and breeding.
I have only messed around on the tutorial world so far just checking out this and that. I did briefly go onto my old 1.7.3 world to see if what i wanted in was in... but not all i was looking for made it in... like upside down stuff is not in this update at the moment. However we can reclaim stairs..:D
The main part of the update I like most is the breeding and enchanting part. Although unsure what the bottles of enchanting are for. I just hope those are not required to enchant anything. As in my primary world I wouldn't be able to do any type of brewing... Some have complained about the swampland darker green texture, but to me i have to say, "It is a swamp no a forest in water" To me it is better than what the pc version looks like. Ours is an actual darker green where as the pc version is kinda an olive green. Also the water color change... Now that I am not partial too since the textures don't blend into each other at the moment.
I just hope I can find a nether fortress eventually on any world I create, and continue digging and building...:D

My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
I'm a little unhappy it messed up my biomes (I was building a Desert City out of Sandstone/Sand, about 90% done), but other than that, I really like it. Although I've found the NPC Villagers are thoroughly useless.
I just finished my three hours of homework so I'm about to hop on and take a look. I checked the wiki's changelog, and I can't wait to spin up creative and play with it.
They changed the area that the sun sets and rises in on my favorite/only seed. Instead of North and south or whatever it used to be, it now rises east and west instead. All my buildings were based off the position of the sun and such, so this update pretty much ruined the only seed I play on. I am ed, was so excited to play then I just shut it off in disgust and walked away. Not sure I will be picking it back up. Not cool to just randomly blow someones seed like that.

I wanna know how has everyone used to new update?
How have you used it to improve/destruct your worlds
Happy or disappointed in the update?
