After having now lured 3 different pairs of Mooshrooms half way across the map to my farm, they continue to despawn when I get too far away from them. I do not have this problem with any of the other passive mobs.
Ive noticed this as well. It may be that since mooshrooms are only seen on mushroom biomes that they can only exist there as well.
This isnt actually a bug and its not likely to ever be changed. The biome code was rewritten to accommodate the new biomes and features. I had a world with a complex irrigation system feeding all my farms, but it became useless when it froze over. Oh well - scrapped it, started over. Besides those old worlds get boring anyway.
My old 1.3 world is not getting boring this Ice needs to be fixed I have areas that where nice green areas that are now frozen tundras or are being taken over by ice spreading out from the once small areas.
This attempt to drive me out of my two maps is BS, next you will be telling me well you did not spend much so you shold not bi$%H about it I have time in to my maps thay are uniqe I even have a Strong hold, Stone Henge, Cliff dwellers, and I addded my own Neither Fortress etc. from images and Youtube videos. so no I will continue to use my maps they are a work in progress.
For people to say move on and build new that is pure crap.
If they can effect the biome, then they can at least add a tool to ad a spawn cage for blazes for the old maps in the neather.

Retired couple, 2 xbox's, 2 gold accounts, 2 headphones. Started playing minecraft with grandkids. Loved it!!!!!
Farms built with previous releases, fenced in pastures with lots of animals.. Animals all gone within minutes with new release. About half of our farms frozen over with snow and ice now. Please add a checkmark in settings to turn off winter biome. Our workaround for winter is to cover the sky below cloud level with glass blocks. It stops the snow from hitting the ground and the water does not freeze back after you break the ice and fix the water. You can remove the snow from the grass and trees after putting the glass overhead. We don't have a workaround for disappearing animals from our fenced pastures. We have removed the fences so some animals wander through. Breeding is cute but mom, dad, and babies all disappear too.

That is impossible to have on the xbox for months on end. old worlds started at 1.6 I believe on xbox. 1.3 is alpha and that was only on the pc far as I know...O_o. xbox started with the pc equivalent of beta 1.6 not any of the alpha versions. That is impossible to have on the xbox for months on end. old worlds started at 1.6 I believe on xbox. 1.3 is alpha and that was only on the pc far as I know...O_o. xbox started with the pc equivalent of beta 1.6 not any of the alpha versions. Right now for less than a month the TU7(1.3) has been out.
And that is usual for any map both on the pc and xbox for seeds to change, as it is how terrain generates...
I'm willing to bet he simply made a mistake when he said 1.3. The Xbox version of MC is currently at the equivalent of the PC's 1.0.1 except the XBox doesn't have The End yet. (source: http://playxbla.com/minecraft-update/ ) Yea, it's called 1.3 on the wiki, but many people simply call it the TU7 update since there is quite a lot of one-point-whatevers running around these days. My guess is EvilDogBoy meant XBox Minecraft 1.0 (equal to PC's 1.6.6). Again, there are a lot of one-point-whatevers.
As to the biome changes to old maps, yes it is true about many biomes on old maps turning to desert or snow biomes. On the PC we didn't notice any difference when new biomes were added because of the seemingly infinite worlds. On the PC, biome changes don't need to affect areas already explored because a majority of the map is completely unexplored meaning new biomes are just added. The programming on the XBox needs to work differently. Not only is it an entirely different platform, the XBox version has finite seeds. Honestly, i theorize the complete freezing over is a bug in the biome coding and how it reads/processes old maps, but i also believe there is nothing that can be done about it so we use work arounds like rjeroots suggested. I had an amazing map from the 1.7.3 equivalent on the XBox, most of it froze with the 1.8.2 release, including my castle and all my farms. Worked on a few maps with the kids and on my own before this latest update, guess what? We all now have areas which are either that ugly light green (desert) or snowing/icing over. *shrugs* It is what it is, but it is true.

the first version for XBOX I have the PC version to sorry to get the version mixed up I have a map from the first version of that came out on Xbox360!!!! but you knew that you didnt you...... "just had to get that jab in,,,, good for you " would you like to follow me around now and correct my spelling and pucntion now.
My whole world will be one large ice cube, in turn hope your world decays soon on the PC and on XBOX on wait you must only put a few hours in to each world then throw them away
so 4J has set the worlds to crap out after a while since My map started the day Minecraft came out I dumped CM-Z and started my new map then may 9 it is now jan 6 in about a 2 more months I will have to take my whole would under ground if they dont fix this.
You can not say this is how the game was intended to play, let me guess the sheep were intended to jump 6 blocks high and ignor solid blocks do I need to post anthor video clown.

nope nope .....Even more becuse they know you have spent time in this map from their statistics servers maybe 1200 ms points you some would pay it to and they would start to rebuild on those maps because they are the best maps.
The ICE issue was talked about two patches ago I can now walk across my oceans that you had to once swim across before creative mode.
I am not going to correct for my dyslexia it takes to long and I have spent to long attempting this fix only you be defeated again
2013 on a rare occasion but it happens more when mining blocks when being pushed by water into a corner.
Something i noticed. Like some of us. When i am strip mining a tunnel straight forward for ores and i need to move fast to get back to the entrance or come back to where i was mining i use the jump button to move faster. Well there is a problem i have now found that if you speed press the jump button in a tunnel that is 2 blocks high going from one end to another and you jump to where your head hits 2 different block types IE dirt/stone you take damage from it.
Adding to this issue. If you rub along the side walls when doing the above speed running trick you can also go through the sides just in the same way as if your head was going though the ceiling. If you go more then halfway into a wall you start taking damage as if you were being buried under sand or gravel.

Was not my intention, I was just pointing out a fact is all. I apologize if it offended you. After all everyone makes mistakes, I am no exception. Anyway it was bound to happen due to all the new things that would come out. Even my world from 1.7.3 is affected, although not all snow, as it had a bit of that in 1.8.2. In this recent version however I do not even know if it has snow anymore, but apparently has a mooshroom biome and ocean.
It does stink for the fact of biome shift, but I guess I learn to adapt. I understand not many were lucky enough to just have a little portion of their map change. I Only had a little change in the whether around the area. In the seed itself though I know each area is different because of all the new terrain. I can only hope something drastic does not happen when they add jungles, just like each time my world went through it. I will continue to build on mine still even though I will not be able to brew, but at least I have breeding & enchanting which is what I prefer over brewing anyhow...:D

I dont know if its been reported yet, but a number of people on here including myself have recently had blocks reappear and stay after they are mined. They do NOT go away unless you click the LT button on the block. I do not believe this is caused by lag, because they never go away and I just started having this problem 2 days ago. One other thing is you can place another type of block in place and that block will stay like if I break a natural stone block and replace it with wood then the wood stays. However, if I break a natural stone block and place nothing in its place or am too slow placing a block, the natural stone block reappears and stays.
I've never believed that animals are actually despawning in this update... but I can confirm that despawning is present. I can't say for what reason it happened, but it was likely due to my underground animal farm near the place where it happened. So I was running home one evening, and as I approached my house I saw a pig... then it disappeared. No fences near where it happened, it just despawned right in front of my eyes.
Villagers all look the same, they can't open doors, so they are always thinking "Thank god, please open the door!" The villagers don't stay in their villages, they just simply wander. You can't hit big magma cubes.

in the time it took to write my posty to you last night another 10% was converted to ice just that qiuk now I can walk to my lsot city and do not have to swim or fyl and nya more to get there.
Tis is the only thing that really brought me peace while wait for the arivle of the unweclcome night visitor. I play every day and create and forget the rest I have a two nice worlds. while dog sit by my side and watch
you have remove my sand/ gravel machinces i use to kill lava so now I have to remove the machine from both places. I used them for making glass and sand stone as well.
This way I did not have to duplicate in my world. I am waiting for you to remove my cobble stone machine next.
I want one blaze trap just one for my version in creative, make it so you only have one, pick it up and move it as many times as you want in the neather you oly get one in creative mode. This will sovle the issue for the old world.
if you build a NPC house you should get a npc person in creative, I will never get anyof those.
put a biome tool to fix the mess up biome in creative.
I am going to make a video of my world in creative and not toched before the patchyou will see what the snow is doing now.
I have a save file I copy to a stick then a rename on HDD then I move the save back. so tht is how i did it no magic no cheating

I have been able to quick move with something in my hand. Can you give specifics about what happened so I can re-create?
This is a confirmed bug by many others since the TU7 update. If you have your inventory open and in the process of moving an item (item in inventory "hand"/cursor), you cannot press "Y" on an item underneath to Quick Move it out of the way. Makes item sorting considerably more tedious.
Is it normal for the Ghast to be so loud when you damage it? I'm affraid to attack them and my neighbors might call the cops thinking I just murdered someone. Before this update there was no real reason to venture into the Nether so I'm not sure if this applies to the newest update.
The ghast sound effects are unreasonably loud and horrific. I hope they tone them down or something.
Yeah that is kinda the same effect it had on my primary world, but in 1.8.2. Of course only a portion of it froze, which just happen to be where the ocean was and a bay that gets into where I was building... Although it apparently changed to ocean in that area in the recent update. So now it rains. no clue as to where the snow biome is now, since I never had one in my primary world from 1.7.3. That would be the 10110101 seed but still thinks change... I do find that most maps from that age have changed the most as there was a lot of terrain that were dropped and added. Some were even redefined from the looks of it. At least when generating a new map.
But like I said some were lucky it didn't cut into their creations and quite a few were not. The generation dramatically changed in 1.8.2, as over half the maps I made in 1.7.3 were all ocean. Now in the recent one they shift again, but those that were ocean in 1.8.2 ended up some being still ocean but with bigger islands, the rest were just a combination of the different biomes. Always can tell from what color grass is on the dirt blocks which biome it shifted to.
Like in your video apparent it from 1.8.2 to the recent it shifted to being that snowy biome, which I can see how it ruins it. However the Sahara was not always a desert... Bad example but true. With each update I am expecting things like this to happen when they add biomes to the game, as that means the seed generation is allowing more variety in the possible map generation to put into the single world. With some worlds I have actually reentered the seed number to see what the biomes would look like in the current version. That is the only way to know for sure where the biomes will lay when this happens. More biomes more chaos...><

I spend time making these sorts of sinkholes exitable for the animals by making stairs in and out of them. It takes a bit of time, but I find it worth the effort.
I agree. Breeding is pointless right now because of the excess of animals spawning. With the first update when animals stopped despawning, I found that I had a complete lack of animals wandering the surface. Many other people complained of this and reported it as a bug. 4J made an update the cranked the passive mob spawn way up. What actually was happening was just a lot of animals getting lost down caves and pits - which is OK! Seek them out, clean them out, and cover them up or fence the edges - problem solved. But now, passive mobs are just EVERYWHERE. I keep killing them off and still my world is overrun with farm animals. Ghasts and blazes have the same problem. Blazes are either everywhere or completely non-existent. The TU7 update really is too buggy to be enjoyable. Sigh... waiting for the next update before I play again.

Disable Exhaustion is unchecked and I am not getting exhausted, even after breaking 5 pick and some tree cutting. Been through the entire world flying and uncovered the map in a couple days. been mining for about in fly mode for 2-3 days, and 1 day for not flying.
The hunger bar just doesn't go down at all. I am just wondering why? Should this be happening in survival mode? So I am going to assume this was not intended, and why I am posting this.
I uncheck can fly and still nothing... So is invisible affecting this? Cause when I have only invisible checked not only does the pic for running/crouching not show up in the corner that also does not exhaust you either.
I am under the impression that invisible more than it should be. Please look into this, as exhaustion should only not happen with that specific option checked, otherwise why have it? Anyway thank for reading...
EDIT: Also noticed something else. Is it Invincible or invisible? Because when you attack a mob and it b-lines for you, no damage. This one I am unsure if was intended or not... just pointing it out.
You can't collect vines with silk touch, and leaves collected with silk touch often don't all stack together.
that is odd... why would you want to use silk touch on those when sheers work a bit better. I can understand if it were a set of silk touch sheers for vines, but I don't think you can enchant that yet, unless that was pulled forward.

With some worlds I have actually reentered the seed number to see what the biomes would look like in the current version. That is the only way to know for sure where the biomes will lay when this happens. More biomes more chaos...><
I agree. Breeding is pointless right now because of the excess of animals spawning. With the first update when animals stopped despawning, I found that I had a complete lack of animals wandering the surface. Many other people complained of this and reported it as a bug. 4J made an update the cranked the passive mob spawn way up. What actually was happening was just a lot of animals getting lost down caves and pits - which is OK! Seek them out, clean them out, and cover them up or fence the edges - problem solved. But now, passive mobs are just EVERYWHERE. I keep killing them off and still my world is overrun with farm animals. Ghasts and blazes have the same problem. Blazes are either everywhere or completely non-existent. The TU7 update really is too buggy to be enjoyable. Sigh... waiting for the next update before I play again.
Host Options: Disable Exhaustion.
This is useless. Especially when I have the other 2 options checked, but that one unchecked.

Disable Exhaustion is unchecked and I am not getting exhausted, even after breaking 5 pick and some tree cutting. Been through the entire world flying and uncovered the map in a couple days. been mining for about in fly mode for 2-3 days, and 1 day for not flying.
The hunger bar just doesn't go down at all. I am just wondering why? Should this be happening in survival mode? So I am going to assume this was not intended, and why I am posting this.
I uncheck can fly and still nothing... So is invisible affecting this? Cause when I have only invisible checked not only does the pic for running/crouching not show up in the corner that also does not exhaust you either.
I am under the impression that invisible more than it should be. Please look into this, as exhaustion should only not happen with that specific option checked, otherwise why have it? Anyway thank for reading...
EDIT: Also noticed something else. Is it Invincible or invisible? Because when you attack a mob and it b-lines for you, no damage. This one I am unsure if was intended or not... just pointing it out.
