Something funky is still going on with the game "rename save" function. I checked my XBox storage list just before renaming a file today and it was listed as taking up 19 MB. After renaming it, I checked the storage list again and it is listed as taking up only 10 MB... 9 MB of data in the file save appear to have gone missing!
ETA: After re-entering that game and then immediately saving and exiting, I checked the size a third time. It is now again indicating that it's taking up 19 MB of space. Very temporary compression?
Then why is the PC different? On PC they are already tamed when you breed the tamed adults. I am offline so no other possible player can tame it. I still think this is a bug cause even minecraft wiki says that baby wolves from tamed adults that is, are supposed to mainly act like their parents. Wild baby wolves on Xbox act nothing like their parents.
In minecraft wiki search up Wolf and look at the breeding section. Part of it says that wolves can not be hostile and so this is indeed a bug.
I don't think they have done it as indepth as the pc. Plus the wolves on the pc are far ahead of what the xbox is. I believe the fact that baby wolves are wild ones states one of the many things that 4J is making different in the game. xbox and pc are different and will always be so. As far as it being a bug, no... The wiki is really only useful for certain things, as xbox goes in its' own direction. Most the stuff you will notice on the wiki is primarily for the pc edition and hardly says anything about the xbox edition.
Now if this was intended, then what someone else says is probably correct. That they are wild so others can tame it if they wanted.
If not then it is more or less a mistake.
This is how I see this.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
My First World, always getting back to is a pleasure I enjoy with each new update that brings in more things to add in.
There is a glitch with the bonus chest where if you break the 1st bonus chest, save and exit, then re-enter the world, a 2nd bonus chest will appear. Also,
This was confirms as not a bug. The xbox version will produce a chest every time you sign in if you break it. Its supposed to work that way.
I'm also having this same problem. The world we had been using prior to this update was a warmer climate, and now the ENTIRE thing is frezing over. Our lake is now a solid block and our water slides are frozen over. So you're not the only one on that. Any idea what's up?
Retired couple, 2 xbox's, 2 gold accounts, 2 headphones. Started playing minecraft with grandkids. Loved it!!!!!
Farms built with previous releases, fenced in pastures with lots of animals.. Animals all gone within minutes with new release. About half of our farms frozen over with snow and ice now. Please add a checkmark in settings to turn off winter biome. Our workaround for winter is to cover the sky below cloud level with glass blocks. It stops the snow from hitting the ground and the water does not freeze back after you break the ice and fix the water. You can remove the snow from the grass and trees after putting the glass overhead. We don't have a workaround for disappearing animals from our fenced pastures. We have removed the fences so some animals wander through. Breeding is cute but mom, dad, and babies all disappear too.
There is definitely a bug with ghasts. I walk into the nether. for a minute, everything is calm, the pigmen are happily roaming, and the magma cubes are jumping. All of a sudden, SQUEAL! SQUEAL SQUEAL! ten seconds later, everything is on fire, Im at half health, and there is a ghast party in the room that consists of four ghasts. Every time I enter a large room, the exact same thing happens. I had to build a cobble bunker around my portal to protect me, and my portal, when before it was fine. PLEASE limit ghast spawns to three PLEASE! I can't do anything in the nether anymore. Also a lighting bug. Whenever I clear a large plot of forest out, first I burn all of the trees down. I've cleared the plot and built the project, and that night I realize there is still light from the fire everywhere, but no fire. There is unnatural light, but no source. This has happened dozens of times, has anyone noticed this?
The Glitch of the Despawning/Dissapearing Animals seems to happen the greatest when playing offline. Therefore it is recommended you play online to keep it control as much as possible. You can't even leave the area far less you risk the animals despawning. Chickens so far are proving themselves CURRENTLY to not despawn/dissapear like the other animals, however this isn't always the case.
This does not happen on old worlds. Breeding is a problem on old worlds. The piggies just kiss forever, and no babies. The animals don't despawn, they glitch through the fence and leave. Suggestion: Try replacing the fence with two high blocks.
The mouth animation hasnt been added yet.
I havent experienced buggy enderman. What are yours doing? Or not doing?
Yes it has, On my world, about hald of the endermen mouths open, and they don't do it when you look at them, they do it when you have hit them.
Belive me, this is on Xbox, if you look closely his mouth is open. The real bug is that some don't open their mouth, some open it, and some open it REALLY wide. Oh, and another bug when it comes to the animals no despawning feature.
Take a close look. See how many animals are trapped in there? that is the fate of maybe half the animals on my world. Please do something about this.
Im sure this is mentioned before but i wanted to add to the topic as well just so its known im having these issues.
Despawning animals: I have lost numerous animals that are fenced in and this inludes, chickens(most frequent), cows, pigs and Mooshrooms
On a side note they all glitch very badly outside of their fenced areas making it very difficult to keep them.
2. Passive Mob cap or animals not breeding at all.
Now im not sure which it is but i am unable to farm animals in large numbers which is a very important and crucial thing to be able to do and this is pertaining to chickens, pigs and cows as i do not farm sheep.
Each animal type has its own pen, a 10x10 square very well lit and i can not have more than 14 chickens at any 1 time. If i give them wheat seeds they do the mating animation and i do not have a baby chicken, i have also tried several stacks of eggs while having 14 chickens and will not hatch a baby either. The same is true for pigs and cows.
3. Blocks very glitchy.
This varies in severity for some reason from time to time but i mine a block of any kind from what ive seen and it will either reappear as it breaks or will take a few moments to actually disappear and drop the block/item. Its to the point where sometimes i will need to mine a block 2 or 3 seperate times before it goes away.
4. Structures spawning wrong.
I had to create several new worlds(thanks to updates not working in current ones) to get a village that was either under water, half buried in the ground or half missing altogether.
Nether Fortresses were nonexistant in more than 7 new maps until i finally found a map with one generated.
5. Also of course the other general bugs such as no quick moving an item while holding another, unable to sleep in beds with monsters near by, experiance dont always appear also no mushroom biome has yet to be found in any of the new maps i made while looking for a nether fortress, although i found a very small number of Mycelium blocks and 2 Mooshrooms nearby. Thanks in advance for all the work that goes into fixing these items for us and hears hoping for a patch very soon.
Not sure if this was mentioned. But when LT'ing an iron door, it makes an opening sound. When RT'ing the door it makes no sound. Which is what it's supposed to do as it's not supposed to be opened but only by a button or lever.
Here's the screenshot I talked about earlier. As you can see, all types of animals spawn like this, even when I kill them - they always spawn like this again. This happens on the entire map. Barely animals at surface. The seed of the map: -5516825506853488063
It's a map generated after TU7.
I agree, it's an annoying problem. I've had some animals spawn in areas like this on some of my worlds as well. There is perhaps one way you could bring them out alive... by mining pathways to them from inside the mountain. However, with the current animal despawning issue, I don't think I'd bother with it yet.
Oh, and another bug when it comes to the animals no despawning feature.
Take a close look. See how many animals are trapped in there? that is the fate of maybe half the animals on my world. Please do something about this.
I spend time making these sorts of sinkholes exitable for the animals by making stairs in and out of them. It takes a bit of time, but I find it worth the effort.
I really only have a problem with three: 1) blocks reappearing after being mined for a short period 2) I use a wheat harvester with water that all collects in one place. After every piece is fully grown, I harvest and get about half the seeds I start with and about half the wheat I should have. 3) not being able to place anything on half slabs. Everything just floats above it.
Have experienced this myself while in multiplayer.
Btw i just watched the top part grow without the middle. But when you break it like normal it shows up normal.
EDIT: Small note. No i was not able to touch the middle one. It acted as if there was no block there in the first place.

Natural light occurring in a cave at the edge of map.. anyone else have this?
Yes - on old worlds, I 've haven't explored in that far in any new world yet.

Animals in fenced in areas despawn even the babies. (I lost a lot of animals already)
Animals have a hard time breeding. They will keep 'mating' and nothing will happen and they will be like that no matter what you do.
Chicken eggs do not produce a baby chicken,
On multiplayer on the same console, the level number moves almost to top of screen. (very annoying)
