After clearing my system cache, and running minecraft, I received an update. It has just finished, let me make sure it isn't something random and unsignificant, but I'm sure this is it.
Would the Enchantment table be in the crafting menu? Cause I'm not seeing it, for whatever reason, I think I got a fake update, I'll keep you posted, this is kinda weird.
I never clear my cache. I really don't feel like reupdating every single game I own just to get an update on Minecraft. Instead, I just delete and redownload Minecraft itself. The update comes with it when you do it that way. It's how I got 1.8.2.
Yeah you probably won't get the update for another couple hours depending on where you live. I'm in EST so it rolls out for me around 5AM.

If you clear your cache you're clearing away all the other updates, thats why you got an update.
Just because it's updating for some people doesnt mean it will be for everyone. Should be out for everyone in a few hours
