I'm planning on making some worlds with specific ideas. Based of genres such as Sci-Fi, Medieval, Renaissance, ect. But the top 3 I want to do are:
1) Medieval - I need a good seed that is a big island that can be made flat. Also can have buildings, a harbor, castle, ect. Something like Chivalry, on Steam.
2) Renaissance - I'd also need a good seed like the Medieval or I can use the same seed. Basically like #1 but renaissance that also includes Airships and other ideas based of Leonardo De Vinci.
3) Sci-Fi/Post-Apocalypse - Something like the Fallout series, I was thinking more of a vault. But I find it challending the most because it has to look spot on with the different sections of a vault as seen in Fallout 3. But the hardest part, is making a good-looking Vault Door that has the vault number that opens up in Fallout 3 mission 1 where you leave the vault.
But I may do a bonus world, a modern city. But I'd need a specific seed, one with bood building land, a large river nearby, and an ocean by it. It's an optional world. Anyways, thanks guys and hopefully you guys can help!
There are many seeds listed on the 1.8.2 MXBLA Seeds List (pinned thread) that have large plains, desert biomes, and/or swamp biomes (which is about as flat as it gets in the regular terrain generation). There are also several listed that also indicate they have large rivers.
The Minecraft Wiki lists all the biomes available on the PC version. The XBox version does not have many of the biomes listed yet. The 1.8.2 terrain generation gives us: forests, deserts, plains, swamps, taiga, extreme hills, oceans. Within these biomes, we do get the rivers, frozen rivers and hills technical biomes. We used to get beaches; however, the 1.8.2 terrain generation has essentially eliminated them (at least for the time being). If you are looking for something not currently produced within these standard biomes, you will probably have to just bite the bullit and do some extensive manual terraforming to get the look you want.
If none of the listed seeds suit your needs, then I would suggest allowing the program to start random seeds while you're in creative mode. Then, you can quickly fly over the seed to decide whether or not you like what you see. Then, IF you don't want to do your build in a world that was started in creative mode (in order to preserve leaderboard eligibility), you can save and exit and as you re-enter that world, you will see the seed number string displayed. Write down that number string and use it to create the seed as a new world in survival mode.

I'll check that thread then, if can't find a seed, I'll take your other advice.
